Heath, Nigel, and the others waited anxiously outside the study. They could only hear Caesar and Leroy arguing loudly inside the room.
The arguing finally stopped about half an hour later.

There was a knock on the door.
Isaac opened the door to see a man in a long robe nodding politely to him.
The man said, “Mr. Garten, the head of the Jensen clan would like to invite you to dinner with him. Please, follow me…”
Isaac glanced outside the window and realized that the sun was setting.
He went into the restaurant on the third floor of the hotel. He was surprised that the huge restaurant was empty save for some waiters on duty. There were no other customers inside.
Sitting by the French windows was Altair Jensen. He was still dressed in his black- and-gold robe. His head faced the window. He was seemingly in deep thought.

Isaac frowned and walked toward the windows.
“You’re here,” Altair said with a chuckle when favonovel.com saw Isaac sitting down opposite him.
The waiters then started serving their food.
A while later, the table was full of various appetizers, entrees, and side dishes.
“This is the best they have. We’ll just have to make do with the food here…” Altair started to eat.
As Altair didn’t say anything else, Isaac also started digging in. He was ravenous. He also needed a lot of food for his body to recover.
After finishing most of the food on the table, Altair took a sip of his lemon water and looked at Isaac. He chuckled and said, “To be honest, you surprised me today…”
“There’s nothing surprising about trying to stay alive at all costs.”
“Don’t you think you owe me a thank you?” Altair asked, nodding at Isaac.
Isaac saw that Altair was looking at favonovel.com with an aggressive expression.
He shivered for a bit. Quickly, favonovel.com raised his glass at Altair and said, “Thank you…”

Isaac disliked talking in riddles. He frowned and said, “If you want to tell me the reason, I’m all ears. I think we can just go straight to the point. There’s no need to beat around the bush. Don’t you think so?”
“Hmph… I see that you’re not afraid of me at all,” Altair said with a huff.
“That’s boring…” He added, then favonovel.com took out a cigarette from his box and started to smoke. He tossed the box of cigarettes on Isaac’s side of the table.
“I’m just telling you that the four True Martial Families aren’t as scary as you think we are… It was only because our ancestors got a fragment of the Divine Stone when the Emerald Realm opened last time. That was how the four True Martial Families and Everest Sect came about…”
Isaac frowned and asked, “What’s the Divine Stone?”
