Chet put his hands behind his back and walked toward Isaac. He was wearing a dirty gray robe.
Meanwhile, Isaac turned around and went to help Todd up from the ground.
He was also a mid-stage Celestial Phase fighter, but favonovel.com was no match for Caesar.
Caesar’s attack earlier was an eye-opener for many martial arts practitioners there. After all, they had seen how powerful Todd was when favonovel.com fought Asher. Yet, Caesar had defeated favonovel.com with just a single attack. This proved that the fighters from Everest Sect were to be taken seriously.
Fortunately, just when everyone thought Isaac would finally be killed, Chet had arrived just in time.
“I thought I’d sent my pipe to you as a warning… Didn’t you get the hint? Why did you have to force me to appear?” Chet asked, staring at Caesar.
Leroy suddenly bolted next to Caesar and pointed at Isaac.
He screamed, “Chet, Isaac was the one who started it first! He ambushed us with missiles! My clan has suffered many deaths and injuries because of him. Take a look for yourself! I won’t rest until that f*cking b*stard is dead! He has too much blood on his hands!”
Leroy would have never dared to scream at Chet like this. But his brother was now dead, and he’d just lost half of his clan members. He was fuming mad. He couldn’t control his anger anymore.
“That’s bullshit, and you know that!” Chet exclaimed. He looked at Caesar and Leroy.
“Don’t think I don’t know what despicable things the Ashleigh clan has done. If someone had to start it, it had got to be you! You were the ones who broke the rules first and went back against your words. Those people deserved to die!” Chet said, pointing at the burning platform.
Chet emitted a dangerous aura.
Leroy sensed it and started shaking. He didn’t dare to argue with favonovel.com anymore.
Caesar looked at Chet with a dangerous expression. Hundreds and thousands of martial arts fighters were looking at him. The four True Martial Families were also looking at him. If Caesar backed away now, Everest Sect’s reputation would be tarnished. Also, Isaac had to die, no matter what.
Isaac was only a Divinity Phase fighter, yet favonovel.com had defeated two Celestial Phase fighters.
If Caesar let favonovel.com be, wouldn’t that mean Isaac would soon surpass favonovel.com in just a few years?
Besides, if favonovel.com didn’t kill Isaac today, the Ashleigh clan would shift the blame to Everest Sect. He couldn’t afford to offend the Ashleighs. The map of the Emerald Realm was still in their hands.
“Chet, in case you don’t know, the rules of the Martial Arts Conference were set in stone by that person 40 years ago. Isaac broke the rules first. You’re wrong for stopping me from disciplining him.”
Caesar then pointed behind favonovel.com and yelled, “All these fighters from the four True Martial Families are the witnesses. You can’t do whatever you please!”
Whoosh!
The head of the Norton family, Channing, dashed next to Caesar.
The three of them were challenging Chet alone. Three great forces started weighing down on Chet.
“Altair Jensen! Irving Stoner! Get your asses down here now! Are you going to let this b*stards bring Isaac away like nothing just happened?” Caesar yelled at the two other platforms behind him.
Since Caesar was no match for Chet, then favonovel.com would use sheer numbers against him.
Isaac frowned. His heart thumped in his chest. If all four True Martial Families joined forces with Caesar, then his mentor wouldn’t stand a chance against them either. If that were the case, favonovel.com would have to activate his backup plan.
Chet looked at the angry trio before favonovel.com and suddenly smiled widely.
Irving exchanged glances with Altair. Altair got up and walked toward the stage, hurrying to the center. But Altair didn’t stand with Caesar. Instead, favonovel.com went behind Chet and smiled back at him.
“It’s been a long while since we met, sir…” Altair greeted Chet with a polite nod.
