“Fire? What do you mean?” Todd asked in confusion.
Thousands of martial arts fighters all looked at Isaac curiously.
The Nortons sneered at Isaac while the Ashleighs laughed at him.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Suddenly, there were loud whistles in the air. The heads of the clans and the Everest Sect elders realized that something was wrong. They all looked up into the sky at once.
Nothing happened in the first few seconds.
Five seconds later, three tiny dots appeared in the sky. They were flying toward the area.
Todd widened his eyes and asked in shock, “What the f*ck is that?”
“Run!” Isaac pulled Todd with favonovel.com and bolted out of the way by 300 feet.
Caesar stood up suddenly, and his eyes bulged out in shock. Then, Channing, Leroy, and Altair also stood up. Everyone noticed the three dots in the sky.
“Those are missiles!” the elder beside Leroy widened his eyes and shouted.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The three missiles whistled as they headed straight for the Ashleigh’s platform.
Just before the first missile landed, Leroy and a few elders had bolted out of the place. Some clan members were also quick to run away.
Bang! Boom! Crash!
The three missiles hit the seats and platform where the Ashleigh clan was. The earth shook as three big clouds of smoke and fire rose up to a dozen feet tall. The shock waves were felt all around the mountains.
The missiles were aimed at the Ashleighs. Even though the Nortons were not the target, Channing and the rest of his clan had left their seats. They escaped to the Everest Sect’s platform to seek shelter.
In a second, the students and members of the Ashleigh clan who didn’t manage to flee were all consumed by the explosions and the fire.
Screams of terror filled the air.
Asher also hadn’t managed to escape. He was seriously injured, and the explosions blasted favonovel.com into smithereens.
“Asher!”
“My student!”
Leroy and the other elders who managed to escape started screaming when they saw the fire engulfing their clan members. They never thought that missiles would appear in the Everest Sect’s territory.
Only Isaac knew that these were not ordinary missiles. They had been customized to hold highly flammable liquid that would destroy everything it touched. Those who didn’t manage to escape were as good as dead.
A few people managed to run screaming out of the fire. Their bodies were still ablaze. They yelled and rolled about on the ground. But their screams died down after a while, and they stopped moving. Yet the bodies were still burning brightly.
When Leroy realized Asher didn’t come out of the fire, favonovel.com turned and glared at Isaac in a rage.
“Isaac! How dare you use such a horrible way to get back at me! I swear I’ll f*cking kill you today if that’s the last thing I’ll ever do!”
Everyone gasped. They all looked at Isaac with stunned expressions. Nobody thought that Isaac would resort to using missiles to get even.
“Me? Horrible? You were the one who hired a divine sorcerer from Cloudelet to poison my family! Are you saying that was not horrible of you?” Isaac’s face had turned as dark as thunder. He challenged Leroy with another glare.
“Asher told me that I would get the thousand-year-old rhizome as a reward if I won the Martial Arts Conference. But you f*cking liars went back on your word and only gave me the leaves… Did you think I was f*cking stupid? Did you think I was born just yesterday? I’m not a f*cking monkey just for your f*cking entertainment!”
