There were Caesar from Everest Sect and Leroy from the Ashleigh clan. There were also Channing Norton, the head of the Norton family, and another man in his mid-30s sitting in the center of the Jensen family.
These people looked at Isaac with challenging stares. Yet, the center seat in the Stoner family remained empty. Only a few elders in white robes sat next to it.

Heath Jackwood stood up from his seat on the Everest Sect’s platform. He shifted his gaze away from Isaac and shouted, “The time has come!”
His loud voice echoed in the mountains.
Heath walked down the steps with a thick golden book in his hand. He reached the front of the platform. He then read, “The 37th Martial Arts Conference begins now. This is a battle between the best of the best…”
“This year, we will introduce the elimination system. The winner receives a thousand-year-old rhizome as the prize! Also, we focus on the fight over your lives. This is the one time no one will be held responsible for any deaths that may happen. Now, Iwill announce the first two fighters to fight!”
“Bryan Norton, from the Norton family, will be going against Isaac Garten from the Temple of Drakon! The both of you, please head onto the stage now…”

The four families reacted differently to Heath’s words. Those from Everest Sect didn’t seem surprised. It was as if they already knew this was going to happen.
The Ashleighs had sinister smiles on their faces. The Nortons got up and cheered as Bryan slowly walked to the center of the stage in his blue robe.
The young man among the Jensens frowned and turned to an elder beside him. He asked, “Hasn’t there always been an even match between the fighters? What’s with the elimination round?”
The elder scoffed and said, “There’s always a reason behind every decision. They probably changed the rules for that newcomer over there…”
The elders sitting beside the empty center seat exchanged glances and said nothing.
“Isaac Garten, I’ll humiliate you and destroy you today as revenge for my brother!” Bryan said, pointing at Isaac in anger.
After being defeated by Isaac in Cloud City, Bryan had been slapped and shamed by his father. He would never forgive Isaac for this. He didn’t believe a Celestial Phase fighter like favonovel.com would lose to a Divinity Phase fighter like Isaac.
Todd frowned. He whispered, “Isaac, be careful…”
Isaac just shrugged and walked to the center of the stage.
No matter what happened today, it was all well within Isaac’s expectations. After all, there were plenty more people who wanted favonovel.com dead!
He walked up to Bryan and looked at favonovel.com calmly. He said, “It’s true that I’m only in the Divinity Phase. But if I can beat you for the first time, then I can beat you for the second time. Also, Elder Jackwood had made it clear. Nobody will be held responsible for the deaths that happen today.”
