He flickered away as the shadow fists hurtled toward him. He ran over to the metal box.
There were two cracking sounds, and the metal box broke open.
Isaac’s eyes grew wide. The eight Dragon Soldiers had yet to notice it because Carlos was far too quick.
“Get away now!” Isaac yelled at the top of his lungs. Then, favonovel.com turned around and pounced toward Carlos.
They were only 15 feet away from the metal box. Timothy had said that once the box was open, it would destroy all living things within a 30 feet radius.
Carlos’ expression was ferocious. He raised his right hand, and the box opened with a creak.
Inside lay a large rock the color of blood. The moment the box opened, it emitted a blinding red glow.
Isaac spread his arms and jumped on the lid of the box.
Half a second before the red light escaped, favonovel.com used his body to block it.
“Drakon!” Dragon Three roared when favonovel.com saw this.
The remaining seven were stunned.
From a few hundred feet away, Todd sent a man in black flying with a punch. He turned and yelled in Isaac’s direction, “What’s that idiot doing?!”
Everyone knew that the metal box was not to be opened. Once it was open, one shouldn’t get within a 30 feet radius of it. But Isaac was sacrificing himself to prevent the Dragon Soldiers from getting killed!
A strong blast of energy burst forth from Carlos’ hands. With a fierce expression, favonovel.com grabbed the lid and tried to lift it. But Isaac forced it down with everything favonovel.com had.
A small ray of light eventually escaped.
The beam was only as wide as a pencil, but the red light instantly went through Carlos’ and Isaac’s bodies. It stopped shining when it passed the 30 feet radius, just like Timothy said.
Carlos’ eyes widened. He staggered backward the moment the red light penetrated his body. He felt a fire in his gut, and it began spreading to the rest of his organs.
“Argh!” Carlos began to roll on the ground, shrieking in agony. His skin was turning bright red.
After Carlos collapsed, Isaac bit back the burning pain in his abdomen and pressed the lid back down.
Bam!
All of a sudden, Isaac’s eyes grew as wide as saucers. Then, his skin began to turn red, just like Carlos’. In a second, it changed into a deep red color. He now looked as if favonovel.com had been boiled alive.
