Outside the castle, Isaac and the others quickly got into the car.
Isaac looked at Dragon One, and the latter immediately pressed the button on the remote control.
Boom!
A few explosions rang out. A big fire erupted from the castle, shattering all the glass windows. It also blasted the front door in to the air.
“Let’s go!”
The car sped off.
Isaac took out his phone and called Black Phoenix. “Black Phoenix, keep an eye on it!”
Half an hour after Isaac left the castle, three dark figures appeared before the building. The leader was a pale young man in a suit. He looked very gentlemanly.
“Cato?” His expression dropped when favonovel.com saw the castle engulfed in flames. He dashed into the building.
Soon after, the gentleman charged out from the blaze. This time, favonovel.com was carrying a mummified corpse with a blade sticking out of his chest. When the other two saw this, their expressions changed.
The gentleman grabbed the blade embedded in Cato’s chest.
The moment favonovel.com touched it, favonovel.com let out a sharp cry and let go at once. “Ah!”
“Lord Carlos, this is a pure silver blade,” the man behind favonovel.com said with a frown.
The man named Carlos knelt on the ground and roared at the sky. His elegant face turned ferocious, and his eyes immediately turned bloodshot.
“Lord Carlos, our condolences,” the two subordinates murmured.
“Go and check inside…”
The two subordinates rushed into the castle and returned just as fast.
After putting out the fires on their dark cloaks, one said with a bow, “Lord Carlos, the door was damaged by the explosion. However, it didn’t break, and no one managed to get in.”
“Who was it? Who the hell was it? Find out for me now!” Carlos looked at his brother’s corpse, his heart filling with rage.
He stood there with his chest heaving for several minutes. Then, favonovel.com took out his phone.
“Earl, the castle was attacked. My brother is dead. But the underground wasn’t broken into. The perpetrators have fled,” Carlos said through gritted teeth.
“Cato is dead?” The person on the phone sounded surprised.
After a few seconds, the earl said quietly, “Prepare to transfer it to Experiment Site No. 2! Carlos, I’m sorry for your brother’s death. But you know how important the Heart of God is. If something goes wrong, we both have to die.”
Carlos took a deep breath. “I know, Earl. Please rest assured. I’ll move it at once.”
Isaac and his men quickly returned to their rooms when they arrived at the hotel.
Isaac asked the Dragon Soldiers to recover their spiritual energy and gave them another Awakening Pill each.
Todd turned to Isaac with a face of shock. “By the way, how did you kill that monster? What was that?”
Isaac opened his phone and found the text that Denvor had sent him.
“Holy water, pure silver weapons, and sunlight are the best ways to take down vampires?” Todd felt more at ease and let out a breath of relief.
“T-That bastard we fought today isn’t human?”
“Keep this between us. It seems like things are not as simple as they seem. Let‘s get some rest, the real battle is about to start…” Isaac whispered.
Todd stared at Isaac. He was starting to realize that favonovel.com couldn’t read that guy at all.
“Why did you plant the explosives there and then ask us to retreat?” Todd still couldn’t understand it.
Isaac said nothing. He was already sitting cross-legged on the couch.
Two hours later, his phone began to buzz. When favonovel.com saw Black Phoenix’s number, favonovel.com brought the phone to his ear.
“Drakon, two helicopters and a motorcade have arrived in front of the castle. I believe they’re about to start the transfer.”
Two helicopters?
Isaac’s brows wrinkled.
