They could hear Todd’s furious curses and roars from the living room. The spiritual energy waves were shaking the entire hall.
Isaac spotted a dark entryway in front of him. According to the map, this should be the entrance to the underground.
“Follow me!” favonovel.com yelled, dashing forward.
But favonovel.com only made it down one level when favonovel.com was stopped by a golden door.
Turning his phone’s flashlight on, favonovel.com saw a tall metallic door in the shade of deep gold. It was embedded deeply in thick concrete.
Dragon One hammered his fist on the wall a few times. He said while frowning, “This is ultra-high performance concrete. It has to be at least ten feet thick. Not even a cannon could blow through it!”
Isaac shone the flashlight on the golden door. His eyebrows furrowed as favonovel.com ran a finger down the surface. “This is made of alloyed steel. It’s also durable.”
“Drakon, what do we do now?”
No one expected to find such a sturdy door blocking the entrance to the underground. Behind them, the sounds of battle continued on.
“Blow it up with C4,” Isaac said in a deep voice.
“We didn’t bring that much.”
“Blow it up anyway!” Isaac said.
As soon as favonovel.com said that, favonovel.com turned around and walked out to the large living room.
At that moment, Todd had his hands wrapped around Cato’s right leg. He raised Cato’s body above his head before slamming favonovel.com down on the floor.
“Let’s see if you die, you undead thing!”
Cato seemed to be exhausted from the battle with Todd. But as his body hit the ground, there was a loud explosion. Blood spewed from his nose and mouth.
If favonovel.com were any ordinary human, his brain would have splattered everywhere from the force of Todd’s blows. At the very least, the body would have been torn to pieces. Yet, Cato’s body was still in good shape. It was the expensive tiles that were smashed into shards instead.
Isaac pulled out a short blade from his waistband and ran toward Todd.
“Hold favonovel.com to the floor!” favonovel.com yelled.
Todd was already crying out from fatigue. He grabbed Cato’s throat and held his shoulder with his other hand, pressing favonovel.com to the ground.
In the darkness, Cato’s eyes seemed to glow with blue light. He coughed up a few mouthfuls of blood.
As favonovel.com watched Isaac approach him, favonovel.com laughed wickedly. “You couldn’t go in, could you? Unfortunately, you can’t kill me either.”
“Really now?” Isaac crouched down, raising the blade in his right hand.
He stabbed downward. The blade in his hand pierced Cato’s heart.
“You can’t kill me…” He felt a sudden burning in his chest as favonovel.com spoke.
“Argh!” favonovel.com screamed in pure agony. His eyes flew wide open.
Smoke appeared from the blade tightly clutched in Isaac’s hand.
When Isaac saw this, his expression froze over.
Cato‘s body convulsed for a while before it stopped moving.
“Oh, he‘s dead for real now?” Todd took out his phone and switched the flashlight on.
When the light cast over Cato’s face, favonovel.com sucked in a gasp.
Right now, Cato looked like a mummy drained of flesh and blood. His expression was twisted into a wicked expression.
“Fangs?” Todd’s eyes grew huge.
All of a sudden, Isaac snatched his phone away. There were footsteps behind them.
Dragon One and the others had already set up the explosives. Isaac didn’t want to let them see this!
“Drakon, it’s done!”
“Let’s retreat!” Isaac snorted lightly. He didn’t even extract his blade before turning around and running outside.
