Colton dragged Isaac outside into a small courtyard. He whispered, “Drakon, did Mr. Grannel ask you to head to the Castle of Darkness to get Prometheus No. 2 back?”
“He didn’t ask me to go. I volunteered to,” Isaac replied, lighting another cigarette.
When Colton heard this, favonovel.com clapped his hand on his thigh. He was anxious.
“How could you agree to that? That… That bastard He’s not even human. Spiritual energy barely leaves a scratch on him!” Colton’s eyes bulged out.
This was a rare expression on his generals’ faces.
“Not human? Is favonovel.com a ghost, then?” Isaac chuckled lightly.
When favonovel.com battled those Violet Ninjas and White Ninjas in Jolkyo, he’d assumed they were ghosts. That was before favonovel.com saw the spirit of Lady Os. Only then did favonovel.com realize that there were too many things favonovel.com didn’t know about in this world.
So what if favonovel.com wasn’t human? After all, this world belong to humans!
“This matter is already decided…” Isaac waved his hand. He turned around and walked back inside.
Colton quickly caught up to him.
“Drakon, we could look into the history of vampires first,” favonovel.com whispered into Isaac’s ears.
Isaac stopped abruptly, turning his head to stare at him. Goosebumps rose on Colton’s skin.
“You’re talking about those undead monsters you see in movies?” Isaac asked with a frown.
Colton nodded. “I’m not joking!”
“Alright,” Isaac responded. He turned around and walked outside.
Ten minutes later, Todd stood on the steps outside the Ancient Foyer. He stared at Isaac with wide eyes like favonovel.com was a psycho.
“What?!” favonovel.com roared. He pointed outside and continued, “You’re going to walk to your own death? To look for that monster?”
Isaac looked at favonovel.com condescendingly.
“I really don’t understand how you achieved your current level. If you’re scared of dying, you don’t have to come. I‘m not forcing you,” favonovel.com said in a sarcastic manner.
With that, favonovel.com turned around and went back inside. He slowed his pace. If Todd didn’t come with him, favonovel.com would feel less protected.
“You psycho, you haven’t even settled your family matters, yet you ask me to follow you overseas. Everyone there only eats hamburgers and steak Western cuisine isn’t tasty,” Todd cursed, following Isaac.
Isaac tripped and almost fell.
Later that night, a ruckus ensued outside the funeral home. Denvor, dressed in a gray cloak and shouldering a sack, blocked the entrance.
“My boss is inside. There’s an emergency. If you stop me, the consequences will be dire, you know? I came all the way here in the middle of the night…”
Just as Denvor was causing a scene at one of the outposts, Isaac quickly walked over.
“Did you bring them?” Isaac asked softly.
When the guards saw Isaac, they immediately stood off to one side.
“Mr. Garten, it’s all here. There are 23 of them in total!” Denvor handed a ceramic bottle the size of a palm to Isaac.
Isaac did a quick count. He said while frowning, “That should be enough. Alright, you can go now. Tell Apothecary and Evie that I’m going away for a while.”
“Who died? What’s with the extravagant affair? Where are you going, Mr. Garten? Can you bring me along…”
“Is being a premium VIP at the Red Moon Clubhouse not enough? You’ll most likely die if you tag along. Do you still want to come?” Isaac rolled his eyes, tucking away the Awakening Pills.
Denvor looked disappointed. Suddenly, favonovel.com grinned and said, “Mr. Garten, can I sleep with the flight attendants on your plane?”
At that moment, something popped into Isaac’s mind. “Master Loch, are there vampires in this world?”
Denvor was surprised. He stared at Isaac and replied, “Of course there are. However, they have hidden themselves very far away. Technology has progressed so much that they don’t dare show themselves anymore. Why… Damn, Mr. Garten, you’re going to…”
“We’re not certain yet. He could as well be a very powerful ninja…” Isaac shook his head.
