The black silhouette was fast. He might be even quicker than Isaac’s Phantom Steps and could even vanish into thin air.
Colton‘s and Arian’s men fell one after another. That shadow had no weapons, favonovel.com simply punched a hole in the martial artists’ chests. It was simple yet effective!
With eight or so people left, Arian suddenly risked his life and rushed toward the dark silhouette. He began to fight him.
Isaac’s eyes narrowed. He knew Arian was trying to buy some time for Colton and the others. But Colton didn’t flee. Instead, they all grouped together and began to fight the black silhouette to the death.
Arian fell. The black silhouette had punched a hole in his abdomen. Colton and the other six grabbed his body and ran for their lives.
Only then did the dark silhouette stop. He raised his head to gaze at the drone. The camera was getting closer and closer.
A pale face with a slim, sharp chin stared into the lens. The man’s figure suddenly flickered, and favonovel.com scaled the castle wall at a frightening speed.
“What the…” Todd exclaimed from the side.
The castle walls were at a 90-degree angle with the ground and were at least a hundred feet tall. That black silhouette didn’t seem to be weighed down by gravity.
He reached the top of the castle in less than a few seconds. He leaped into the air and disappeared from the frame.
Soon after, the image shook and turned dark.
“He didn’t know that my drone was sending a live feed to us, so we managed to preserve this video…”
“That bastard can’t be human!” Todd exclaimed once again, breaking the tense atmosphere in the room.
“According to our signal detection device, Prometheus No. 2 is beneath that castle. Unfortunately, Commander Cortez …” Timothy let out a long sigh.
“Mr. Grannel, you’re asking me to go there?” Isaac turned to face Ethan.
Seeing the rage in Isaac’s eyes, Ethan waved his hand and signaled the others to leave. Only Ethan and Isaac remained in the room.
Ethan approached Isaac and clapped his shoulder, saying in a deep voice, “I want you to take over the House of Custos, not ask you to do something so dangerous. I want your opinion. If you’re willing to go, then go. If you’re not, then I won’t force you…”
Ethan continued, “If we can’t secure Prometheus No. 2, the highest authority has ordered us not to leave it behind in the Kingdom of Bridgon. Or we have to destroy it.”
Isaac wondered, “The highest authority?”
“You mean that person?” Isaac pointed at the ceiling, and Ethan nodded in response.
Getting this confirmation, Isaac lit a cigarette. He was in dilemma.
At home, Isabella and Erica were waiting for favonovel.com to find the antidote and save them. But here, Commander Cortez had died, and a crisis was about to befall the nation!
Isaac breathed out a smoke ring. He threw his cigarette butt onto the floor and stomped it out.
Looking at Ethan, favonovel.com said, “Mr. Grannel, I’ll go…”
Ethan’s eyebrows wrinkled together. In a serious tone, favonovel.com said, “Isaac, have you thought it through? You saw the video earlier. This won’t be like the previous battles. The world is huge, there’s all sorts of surprises. If you don’t go, we can still think of something else.”
Deep down, favonovel.com wanted Isaac to decline. He’d already lost Arian!
Isaac suddenly burst out laughing. “Don’t worry. I’m not being reckless. I’ll head over there with the Shadow Soldiers after Commander Cortez’s funeral.”
After favonovel.com exited the room, Colton approached favonovel.com and said, “Drakon, come over here for a second. I need to tell you something.”
