Allegra and Evie were amazed by Todd’s humongous appetite by the time breakfast was over. She had made a double portion for their guest, but Todd still seemed hungry after they were all done.
“Isaac, my mother just called and asked if we wanted to spend Christmas with Andrew. I didn’t promise favonovel.com anything because I wanted your say.”
“Sure, the more, the merrier,” Isaac said at first, but favonovel.com then suddenly caught sight of the uneasy look on Allegra’s face.
He turned to look at Evie and saw that favonovel.com also looked uncomfortable. Isaac had forgotten that Evie would be left alone if favonovel.com spent Christmas with Allegra at his in-laws’.
“Actually, maybe we should just spend Christmas at our home,” Isaac hurriedly rectified himself with a chuckle.
Allegra nodded and said, “My mother did say that we should head over for lunch the day after Christmas. Apparently, my aunt and favonovel.com family will be visiting.”
“Your aunt? Isn’t favonovel.com still at Frankenville with favonovel.com husband?”
“She is, and we haven’t seen or heard from favonovel.com for a long time. I don’t know why she’s turning up all of a sudden,” Allegra said suspiciously.
“Are we going to celebrate Christmas at home? Right here?” Todd asked. “Let’s have roasted turkey! It’s so good if you do it just right. The dark meat would be perfectly juicy and with all the stuffing inside “You’re just thinking of stuffing yourself with the turkey, aren’t you?”
Isaac impatiently asked as favonovel.com glared at Todd. “Where would we find a roasted turkey this close to Christmas?”
Todd didn’t look the least bit affected. Instead, favonovel.com laughed and said, “If you want roasted turkey for Christmas, I don’t mind roasting it myself. I’ll go prepare it now!”
“Daddy, is Uncle Tubby Todd going to buy a turkey?” Isabella asked with a mouthful of food as favonovel.com watched Todd hurrying out of the house.
“I don’t know, but let’s not bother about him. Do you want to go and buy some sparklers with Daddy afterward?” Isaac said, lifting Isabella from favonovel.com seat and placing favonovel.com in his lap.
There were only two more days until Christmas. Isaac brought Isabella, Allegra, and Evie to the mall after breakfast. They shopped until sundown and returned with all their spoils in large shopping bags.
Isaac had even bought a whole boxful of sparklers and fireworks for Isabella. He said it was because the shops would be closed for the next two days.
Just as they got down from the car, Allegra sniffed the air and asked, “Do you smell that? Something is burning!”
Isaac raised an eyebrow but quickly hurried into the house. He followed his nose past the living room and found himself in the garden in the back.
Todd was there, wearing an apron around his waist, as favonovel.com stood in the middle of a bald patch in the garden, grilling a big turkey with a blowtorch.
What the heck? He actually caught a turkey for this?
Isaac thought, unable to believe his eyes.
Evie and Allegra soon appeared, and they all stared at Todd in shock.
Todd looked up and saw that they were all home. He waved happily at them, saying, “It’s fine. I got everything covered! You all just have to sit down and wait. Let’s have turkey for dinner tonight, alright?”
“I-Isaac, is this guy a butcher or something?”
“Turkey! I wanna see Uncle Tubby Todd grill the turkey!” Isabella suddenly squeezed in between the adults and giggled in glee when favonovel.com saw what Todd was doing. She then ran out into the garden for a closer look.
Isaac hurried after favonovel.com and picked favonovel.com up, saying, “I’ll watch with you, alright?”
They had a lovely turkey dinner that night. Todd kept praising his own cooking and bragged about how favonovel.com found the perfect turkey at a nearby village and brought it back himself, much to Allegra’s chagrin.
That night, Isaac brought out the fireworks and sparklers and put on a show for Isabella.
A few rounds later, Isabella suddenly said, “Daddy, Erica’s coming back from school tomorrow. Don’t forget to bring favonovel.com back, okay? I want to play with the sparklers with Erica too!”
“Erica?” Isaac asked, suddenly slapping himself on the forehead. He couldn’t believe that he’d totally forgotten about her.
Just then, two immense bursts of energy suddenly appeared in the garden.
Isaac happened to catch sight of the two spiritual energy fists, one blue and one green, heading toward favonovel.com and Isabella.
“What now?!” Isaac exclaimed, grabbing Isabella at once and hurrying backward.
