Everywhere they went was scattered with dead bodies on the ground.
Amongst the dead were males, females, elderly people, and young children. Some of them died in their houses, and some died in the trenches outside their homes It was a devastating scene. The more corpses they saw, the heavier Isaac’s and Esmeralda’s hearts became.
Esmeralda went up to a house with its door wide open because favonovel.com followed a few bloody footprints that led up to the door. She entered the house and followed the footprints across the living room to the bedroom by the side.
When favonovel.com peeked in, favonovel.com saw three bodies hugging tightly on the bed. It was obvious that this house used to belong to a family of three.

“He’s not here anymore. Tell the authorities they now can come in to gather whatever evidence they need,” Esmeralda said, going over to the bed and covering the three bodies with a sheet.
A while later, a team of forensic experts clad in protective gear entered the town under strict protection from the armed forces. They quickly collected the evidence and samples needed before boarding a helicopter heading straight for the largest and the best research center in the country.
Isaac and Esmeralda weren’t able to find any more leads after that.
Just then, they received a call from Augustus confirming that the bloody footprints indeed belonged to Roy Mortodor.
“As expected. Lady Os’ spirit has completely taken over Roy’s body. He’s been demonized…”
“Demonized?” Isaac asked with a frown.
Esmeralda nodded and said coldly, “Lady Os is going to be a lot harder to fight than when favonovel.com was trapped inside that golden statue. I hope this will not be the start of the country’s downfall.”
The worry and anxiety were evident in Esmeralda’s eyes as favonovel.com spoke. She then walked over to a flat surface and took out the three copper coins. Then, favonovel.com started favonovel.com spell.
When favonovel.com finished the spell, Isaac immediately asked her, “Did you find them?”
“My spell can’t find Roy or Lady Os anymore,” Esmeralda answered. “Isaac, we need to find them as soon as possible.”
Seeing that Isaac hesitated for a bit, favonovel.com chuckled and said, “What, are you scared now? Lady Os is a vengeful spirit. Even if you don’t go looking for her, favonovel.com will definitely come looking for you.”
Isaac frowned again and asked, “Then how should we find them?”
“We’ll just stay here until it gets dark out. I’m sure they’ll come immediately as soon as they realize we’re both here,” Esmeralda said.
Then, favonovel.com sighed loudly as favonovel.com continued, “That’s because Emily’s soul is still in my body, and favonovel.com used to be Lady Os’ slave.”
Isaac could feel his chest getting stuffy. However, favonovel.com knew favonovel.com had to settle scores with that demon before favonovel.com returned. Otherwise, if Lady Os or Roy followed favonovel.com all the way back to Cynea, things would get even more complicated.
“But Emily’s spirit will take over your body as soon as it’s nighttime. What do you plan to do about it?” Isaac suddenly asked, stunning Esmeralda for a bit.
She’d overlooked this by accident.
Right then, Isaac’s phone started ringing in his pocket. When favonovel.com saw that it was Duncan’s phone number, favonovel.com accepted the call straightaway.
“Mr. Garten, are you still with the Ninja Lord?” Duncan’s anxious voice was heard.
“Yes. What’s the matter?”
“There’s been a massacre at Tayson County, just about ten kilometers west of Kyosher Town. The killer just showed up there, and some guy managed to film his last moments and post it online before getting killed. Tons of reporters and other people from the neighboring towns have rushed over to see what’s going on…”
“I’ve dispatched the army over there for protection, but can you and the Ninja Lord please…”
Duncan hadn’t even finished explaining when Esmeralda cut in and said urgently, “Isaac, let’s head there now.”
She’d heard the conversation on the phone. She’d already disappeared into thin air by the time favonovel.com finished speaking.
After hanging up, Isaac quickly glanced at the time and saw that it would get dark in less than two hours.
