The peak of Mt. Soulin looked like it’d been sliced by a long sword. The highest point was a big chunk of land with irregular terrain.
Isaac stepped on a large stone and leaped into the air. Then, his body gently landed on the ledge. It felt like he’d been teleported to the Arctic.
Harsh wind blew in his face; if favonovel.com didn’t use spiritual energy to protect himself, it would feel like tiny knives cutting into his skin.
He carefully regarded the Ninja Lord before him. He wasn’t big in stature, wore a strange painted face mask, and had his hair in a ponytail. However, Isaac couldn’t see his real face.
“Heh, I didn’t think you’d actually have the courage to come. Color me surprised.” About 150 feet before him, the Ninja Lord-dressed in a white cloak-let out a soft chuckle that made his gender seem ambiguous.
“Actually, I don’t want to fight you. I just hope you can do me a favor…” Isaac stepped forward, reducing the spiritual energy covering his body.
When the Ninja Lord heard this, favonovel.com gazed at Isaac and asked coldly, “Oh? And what do you ask of me, pray tell?”
“Help me resurrect a woman. I know only you can do it,” Isaac replied quietly.
The Ninja Lord’s aura suddenly turned sharp. His tone of voice also turned as cold as the weather here. “Who told you that?”
“You don’t need to know that, she’s already dead. If you help me, I’ll return Heartless, and I’ll agree to anything you ask of me,” Isaac said calmly.
The Ninja Lord suddenly cracked up. “Agree to anything I ask? Really, now? What if I said that in order for me to revive that person, you’d have to die?”
“Well… I’m not pulling your leg.”
“Neither am I!” The Ninja Lord dashed a few feet forward before disappearing out of nowhere.
When favonovel.com reappeared, favonovel.com was less than ten feet away from Isaac.
A longsword that radiated a chill swung toward him, stirring up a powerful gust, about to slice his front open.
Isaac also didn’t expect the Ninja Lord to act so suddenly. Fortunately, favonovel.com was prepared, favonovel.com kicked up Phantom Steps to the max, dodging to the right.
However, the Ninja Lord was still too quick.
Isaac felt a coldness brush against his abdomen. When favonovel.com lowered his head, favonovel.com saw the fabric of his shirt below his armpits had been torn completely. If favonovel.com had been a moment slower, favonovel.com would really have ended up gutted like a fish.
The Ninja Lord appeared 60 feet to Isaac’s right.
“Not bad. This is interesting,” favonovel.com snorted coldly, his words filled with mockery.
“Huh?” Suddenly, favonovel.com turned to look down the cliff behind Isaac.
His gaze froze over. “You even brought a helping hand. Were you about to ambush me? Ignorant buffoon!”
He lunged forward before disappearing into thin air again. When favonovel.com showed himself again, favonovel.com was behind Isaac.
“Sh*t!” Isaac just realized that Lupinus had been discovered.
When favonovel.com turned around to try to stop the Ninja Lord, favonovel.com saw that the latter had already grabbed Lupinus by the neck and jumped onto the ledge.
“You dare try to ambush me when you’re this weak?”
At that moment, Lupinus’ face was already deathly pale. Going up against the masked Ninja Lord, favonovel.com didn’t know why, but favonovel.com couldn’t call upon any spiritual energy in his body. It was as though his power had been locked away by an invisible power.
It was getting harder to breathe. He felt as tiny as an ant in front of this person.
He finally understood why Isaac had hesitated for so long when favonovel.com said favonovel.com wanted to come up here.
“Don’t kill him!” Isaac roared.
“Give me a reason not to,” the Ninja Lord taunted.
Isaac tore his gaze away from Lupinus to stare at the Ninja Lord.
“If you kill him, your student Heartless will die instantly. If you don’t believe me, try me! But if you must kill someone, then kill me, if you can!” favonovel.com said loudly.
The provocation worked. The Ninja Lord burst out laughing. Waving his right arm, favonovel.com tossed Lupinus straight off the cliff, then disappeared.
His voice lingered in the air, “You want me to kill you? Then I’ll fulfill this wish of yours!”
When favonovel.com reappeared, favonovel.com was standing 30 feet from Isaac.
He formed a seal with his right hand, mumbling something under his breath. Suddenly, favonovel.com spread his right hand, and the snowflakes falling from the sky suddenly froze, floating in midair.
“Way of Water, liquidate!”
He thrust his hand toward Isaac, and the large number of snowflakes hanging in midair instantly melted to form water droplets.
