In the small guest room, Isaac and Augustus, along with their most trusted subordinates, stood at the door. Their eyes were fixed on Luna; favonovel.com was lying by the bed peacefully as if favonovel.com was sleeping, but favonovel.com chest did not move.
“Luna, my Luna!” Augustus staggered forward, his voice shaking. Then, favonovel.com fell to his knees and lightly held his trembling finger to favonovel.com nose.
There wasn’t any breath.
Augustus‘ eyes turned bloodshot.
Slowly turning his head, favonovel.com looked at Isaac with pure fury. He raised his shaking hand to point at Isaac and gritted out, “How dare you kill my daughter?! You’ve killed the princess of Rippan, you animal!”
At that moment, Isaac felt a chill run down his back as if an invisible person was holding a sharp blade behind favonovel.com and could drive it into his heart at any time.
Facing the furious Augustus, Isaac responded coldly, “I didn’t kill your daughter… Firstly, I have no motive, and secondly, if I had killed her, I wouldn’t have let you see…”
“Go to hell!” At this point, Augustus wasn’t in the headspace to listen to anyone’s words.
He let out a thunderous roar, a dagger suddenly materializing in his hand, and aimed it between Isaac’s brows.
Spiritual energy surged through Isaac’s body. He raised his right hand and instantly caught Augustus’ wrist. No matter how much force Augustus exerted, his right hand wielding the dagger couldn’t budge a single inch.
“You know, you bunch can’t kill me…” Isaac snorted coldly.
The spiritual energy covering his right arm shuddered, and Augustus stumbled backward.
“Heh, fine! Fine, you’re all-powerful! Just you wait!” Augustus’ voice carried a hint of insanity. He turned around, lifted Luna’s body, and dashed off.
Augustus’ enraged roar thundered outside, “Once the princess is buried, alert the entire country that their princess was cruelly murdered by a Cynean martial artist. Isaac, I want you to become the enemy of an entire nation!”
Isaac didn’t react. He let out a long breath, lit a cigarette, and took a deep puff.
From the moment favonovel.com left his room until Augustus’ people came, no more than 15 minutes had passed. Not to mention, Lupinus and Elliot were just next door. They hadn’t noticed any abnormalities, but Luna’s corpse had suddenly appeared by his bed.
Just who could have pulled off such a feat?
“Sir, something is fishy about this…” Harry said suddenly.
Isaac turned around to face him. “Elaborate…”
“That girl looked a little strange. From favonovel.com complexion, favonovel.com didn’t look like a dead person,” Harry said, his face coloring with confusion.
“Then why didn’t you speak up just now?” Isaac wanted badly to slap that idiot in the face.
Harry shrunk back. “I couldn’t be too sure, either. If you weren’t here, I think the rest of us would have been burnt to a crisp by Augustus’ fury.”
What happened today was clearly a case of an orchestrated murder. No matter who they were, Isaac wouldn’t let them have their way.
He took out his phone and dialed a number. The line quickly connected, and a deep voice said, “Lord Drakon, to what do I owe this pleasure?”
“Prince Duncan, I need your help with something. I want to enter the royal residence before Luna‘s burial starts…”
“Princess Luna’s burial?” Duncan almost dropped his phone from the shock.
Isaac nodded. “Do you have time? Let’s talk in person.”
