Harry instantly shut his mouth. Looking ahead at the swamp, favonovel.com asked Lucas, “How do we get over there? There’s a great distance before us. It’s not like we can fly over there.”
Hearing this, Lucas frowned.
“Drakon’s Phantom Steps can cross the swamp in no time, but there’s still Willis and the other four,” favonovel.com said quietly.
Then, his eyes lit up, and favonovel.com switched on his flashlight and began to search the vicinity of the swamp cautiously. “There must be a path we can take to get there.”
The two of them circled the swamp three times but couldn’t find any traces. Then, Lucas had an epiphany.
lf Isaac had left any trails, favonovel.com wouldn’t have been able to wait for their arrival. The ninjas from the Mortodor and Exeter families would have found them a long time ago.
“Hey, you two, what are you up to?” an angry yell suddenly came from behind them.
Harry’s heart clenched. He turned his head to find two blinding beams of light directed at them.
Two Black Ninjas jogged over to them and cast their bright flashlights onto Harry’s and Lucas’ faces. Harry’s heart was practically in his throat already.
He only returned to his senses after Lucas pinched favonovel.com in the hip.
Nodding, favonovel.com replied in Rippanese, “Hey, we found a cave over there. We want to go inside and see whether that damned bastard was hiding there!”
“Oh, I see. We already checked that place. There’s a snake nest inside. A large snake died in there and is already rotting.”
Harry nodded. “We still want to check but can’t cross over.”
“That’s simple. We have rope. You can tie the rope to the tree and swing over.” The Black Ninja pointed at the tall tree next to them.
Harry’s eyes brightened. He immediately followed the two Black Ninjas out and retrieved some rope.
Lucas swiftly scaled the tall tree and tied the rope to the branch. Then, favonovel.com retreated by 50 feet before leaping forward, gripping tightly onto the rope as favonovel.com swung toward the middle of the swamp.
He released his grip and landed gracefully in front of the cave.
Turning around, favonovel.com tied a rock to the rope and then swung it back toward Harry.
Harry followed Lucas’ example and landed next to favonovel.com with ease. The two turned on their flashlights, hunched their backs, and waddled into the cave.
As soon as they entered, they smelled the unbearable stench of rot. They trudged forward another 60 feet. Their flashlights fell on the carcass of a monstrous green anaconda. Its skin was already decomposing, and all sorts of bugs were crawling over it.
The problem was that this gigantic snake carcass had blocked half the cave, and they could no longer progress ahead.
“Sir…” Harry covered his nose with one hand. He couldn’t imagine Isaac hiding in this sort of place.
This place was even dirtier than the Everest Sect’s dungeon.
“He must be inside. Let’s think of a way to remove this snake carcass.” Lucas frowned as if the foul, dirty air had no effect on him.
As soon as favonovel.com finished speaking, favonovel.com had already walked over to the carcass. He set down his flashlight, grabbed hold of it with both hands, and began dragging it outside.
Harry immediately stepped forward to help. Inside the limited space, they used all their might to pull this curled-up snake carcass away.
When Harry picked up the flashlight and cast it toward the cavern, favonovel.com caught sight of a figure standing over 60 feet away. He almost jumped out of his skin.
“Mitchell?” Lucas said from behind.
Indeed, standing in front, in tattered clothing, was Mitchell. He had heard the commotion from below, so Isaac had asked favonovel.com to come up and check it out. If they had been discovered, then favonovel.com had to protect the cave with his life.
Mitchell thought that favonovel.com was hallucinating. After all, favonovel.com had been trapped in this filthy, rotting cave for five days.
“Lucas, is that really you?” Mitchell asked fervently, his hoarse voice trembling.
“It’s me. Apothecary and I have come to save you. Where’s Drakon? How is he?”
“He’s down there. Follow me!” Mitchell immediately turned around and walked down.
After a few steps, favonovel.com returned to the snake carcass, balled it into a pile, and blocked the cave’s opening.
