The head of the Mortodor family now was Roy, and favonovel.com was also naturally the most powerful.
If favonovel.com isn’t in the country now, did that mean favonovel.com had a lot of faith in the rest of his family members, or was there something else more important than a family crisis that favonovel.com had to take care of overseas?
“Open up the map,” Isaac said, putting down his chowder, which only tasted like wet rubber juice, and pointing at Willis.
Willis then brought over another table and opened up the map of Jolkyo on it.
Isaac went over and pointed at a mountain on the west side of the city. “Emily is being held here, in Jamaya Shrine at the south side of Mt. Shamrock.”
“Drakon, hold on for a bit. I’ll fetch a map of Mt. Shamrock It’s open to the public during the day,” Mitchell said, hurrying out of the room.
A while later, favonovel.com returned with a tourist map of Mt. Shamrock and spread it out on the table next to the other map. It was rather crudely drawn but contained more details than the overall map of Jolkyo.
Isaac compared both maps and pointed at the backyard of Jamaya Shrine, saying, “Black Phoenix gave me this location. There are ten guards and 70 or so munks.”
“Since we already know their location, what else are we waiting for?” Willis asked solemnly.
Isaac nodded and said, “Exactly my thought. Let’s head out immediately.”
Since the deadline Roy gave favonovel.com was tomorrow night, Isaac decided to show up a day earlier instead to rescue Emily. The longer favonovel.com stalled, the more dangerous it might be for Emily.
After making their decision, the five of them split into three groups.
Lightning paired up with Mitchell, Lupinus with Willis, and Isaac chose to go solo. The five of them left the inn and drove off to Mt. Shamrock in three separate vehicles.
Mt. Shamrock was only a little over ten kilometers away from the Mortodor Mansion.
Isaac was a little worried as favonovel.com made his way to the mountain. If they weren’t quick enough, things would get even more complicated once the Mortodors called for backup from their mansion. It was 2 am in the middle of the night.
Aside from the main city center, the rest of the surroundings were eerily quiet. They only passed by a few drunkards on the way.
The three vehicles parked at the foot of Mt. Shamrock.
After getting down from their cars, the five men put on black masks and hurried over to Jamaya Shrine.
Mt. Shamrock was only about 2,000 feet above sea level.
Within ten minutes, Isaac had arrived at the outer wall of Jamaya Shrine. The map earlier showed that there were a total of three walls surrounding the shrine. Visitors were not allowed past the second wall, which was the most dangerous place of all.
Isaac leaped upward and grabbed onto the top of the wall, easily hoisting himself over and landing quietly on the other side of the first wall.
A few men in long robes walked by, and Isaac hid in the shadows of the trees nearby as favonovel.com hurried over to the second wall.
He also successfully made it over the second wall. Isaac looked up and saw a few old, rustic buildings situated not too far away. The similarities of the buildings were uncanny when compared with the shrines they had in Cynea.
Isaac looked around and saw a few munks chatting happily with each other next to a flower garden. He narrowed his eyes and focused on a building slightly further away that jutted out from the rest of the buildings. That was where Emily was being held captive.
Just as Isaac was cracking his head on how to elude the munks, there was a sudden cry from the right, “We have intruders! Hurry!”
“Oh, something’s happened. Quickly, let’s go!” The munks next to the flower garden were startled and grabbed their staffs before hurrying over.
Hearing this, Isaac frowned.
Lightning and Mitchell were the ones in charge of the right side… How did they get discovered?
Seeing that the munks had left, Isaac used Phantom Steps and bolted in the direction of the buildings up ahead.
