The green flicker of light only appeared for a split second as it flew toward Geronimo at the speed of light. Within a fraction of a second, the light penetrated straight through Geronimo’s head.
Geronimo’s eyes widened in shock. He’d been prepared for an attack the moment Chet raised his hand, but Chet had acted so quickly that favonovel.com didn ‘t know when or how to react.
The life force was gradually sucked out of him.

“Oops, I just killed someone from the Norton family too. So, does that mean the Nortons would want my head too?” Chet asked, knocking his pipe against the ground so that it made a few clear sounds.
Fred and the other two men felt their knees shaking terribly. They were also drenched in cold sweat.
Chet was just too powerful for their own good. In fact, it was suffocating to be in the same room as him.
The living room was eerily quiet. Chet took two more drags of his pipe and pointed at Allegra as favonovel.com addressed Fred, “I’ll bring favonovel.com away…”
“Well… If the Nortons want revenge, tell them to look for me. Are you satisfied now?” favonovel.com asked with a slight frown.
Fred snapped back to his senses. He hurriedly nodded and said in a low voice, “Understood. We’ll be leaving now.”
The three of them then brought back the two dead corpses with them.
Chet walked up to Isaac and saw that favonovel.com was covered in cuts and bruises. He sighed and took out a black booklet, small enough to fit inside the palm of his hand, and handed it to Isaac.
The booklet looked old and withered. The title was written neatly in cursive writing, “Formula for the Awakening Pill.”
“I got this from the Nortons. Don’t lose it. If you can formulate the Awakening Pill, then it’ll be your lucky day…”
“But, sir, what’s this Awakening Pill?”
“It’s a pill that helps you ascend quickly through stages and increase your power. However, it’s pretty difficult to make. The ingredients are extremely rare and close to extinction, and also, you need to have had some experience in making such pills. Even so, the success rate isn’t that high.”
Isaac stared at the booklet in his hand and thought it would be for his own good, however hard it was to create the pills.
“Thank you, sir!” Isaac said, nodding gratefully at Chet.
Then, Chet pointed at Allegra, who was still in Evie’s arms, and said, “I’ll bring favonovel.com back with me. If favonovel.com continues staying with you, with your powers still in this state, you won’t be able to withstand an attack from the Nortons.”
Seeing this, Isaac frowned deeply.
Allegra also kept shaking favonovel.com head, saying, “No, I’m not leaving! I don’t want to leave with you!”
“Isaac, I’m bringing favonovel.com away for your sake and for favonovel.com sake. Of course, if you’re unwilling, I’ll just leave immediately without her,” Chet added at the end.
Isaac sighed as favonovel.com looked at Chet. He took another deep breath and nodded before walking over to Allegra. They stared deeply into each other’s eyes.
Allegra’s eyes were wet with tears. Isaac also found himself tearing up.
“Ally, just follow Mr. Guerra home, okay?” favonovel.com said. “I’ll come and get you back once everything is settled.”
Allegra gnawed on favonovel.com lower lip as favonovel.com tears began to fall down favonovel.com cheeks. She knew that favonovel.com was a ticking time bomb. Also, she’d just stepped on a hornet’s nest, and favonovel.com couldn’t reverse it.
“Y-You have to promise me that you’ll come and get me later, okay?” Allegra said, going up to hug Isaac tightly. She could feel favonovel.com heart physically tearing in half.
“I promise. I’ll get you when the time is right,” Isaac said with a firm nod.
Then, Allegra turned to Evie and said tearfully, “Evie, take good care of Isabella for me. Tell favonovel.com to wait for me. Her mother will be back very soon…”
“Alright. Don’t worry, and just leave with Mr. Guerra. I’ll take care of Isabella for you,” Evie said, favonovel.com eyes equally red. However, favonovel.com knew that Chet would never harm Allegra.
Chet smoked another joint in the living room as favonovel.com waited for Allegra to grab some essential items before leaving.
Isaac stood on the steps outside his house and watched as the two figures disappeared into the night. A single drop of fear silently rolled down his cheek.
This was the first time he’d felt so helpless in his life.
