As the fighter jet blasted forward with two trails of blue fire, the uniformed man next to Lupinus started looking rather anxious. He cried, “Sir, sir! Does that young pilot know how to operate the latest fighter jets?”
Lupinus just turned and glared at him. The uniformed man immediately shut up after that.
After picking up speed on the runway for 20 seconds or so, the fighter jet then lifted into the dark night sky.
“Flight 3317, this is the tower. We’ve located the target location. We’re sending you the coordinates to your radar now. Please ascend to 9,500 feet above sea level and maintain. Over!”
Isaac looked down and saw a blinking red light on his radar screen.
“This is Isaac. Maintaining a height of 9,500 feet above sea level and requesting assistance for air traffic control due to potential gunfire,” Isaac said in a cold voice before added, “Over…”
“Request for air traffic assistance received from Flight 3317. Over.”
A few seconds later, Isaac’s mic sounded again, “Flight 3317, air traffic is temporarily under control.”
In the sky, Isaac then increased the horsepower to the maximum and flew straight for the southern sea at twice the speed of sound.
Suddenly, Isaac heard Arian’s low yet anxious voice in his microphone.
“Isaac, Isaac! Can you hear me?!”
“Supreme Commander? Yes, I hear you.”
“Listen, you only have another half an hour before reaching your target, but remember, you’re not allowed to fly into Rippanese territory, understand? I repeat, do not fly into Rippanese territory!”
“But I need to save someone…”
Arian was so anxious and frustrated when favonovel.com heard this that favonovel.com stomped on the ground and cursed.
He roared, “Isaac, do you know how bad the consequences can be if both countries go to war with each other? If need be, just shoot down that plane. Do you understand…”
Snap!
Isaac turned off the microphone. Then, favonovel.com glanced at the blinking red light on his radar. He was nearing his target very quickly.
At the same time, about 60 kilometers ahead of Isaac’s fighter jet, a private plane was flying toward an island in the middle of the sea. A middle-aged man in a purple robe was seated in the plane, a pot of hot coffee in front of him.
He frowned deeply as favonovel.com looked outside the window.
Emily was all tied up like a hog in the seat to his left. She looked utterly terrified.
This was Rowell and Sid’s plan all along.
Rowell would first capture Emily before bringing favonovel.com back to their Mortodor mansion. Even if Sid ran into trouble, at least his life would be spared because of her.
“How much longer until we leave the Cynean skies?” Rowell asked a man dressed in black next to him.
The man glanced at his watch and replied, “About 20 minutes more…”
“That’s too long! Tell the pilot to go faster!” Rowell said with a frown.
Right then, an anxious male voice sounded over the plane’s broadcast system, “Mr. Sarge, a fighter jet just appeared behind us and is approaching us at twice the speed of sound. What should we do?”
“F*ck!” Rowell cursed out loud.
He didn’t think that the Cynean authorities would take action this quickly.
“Hurry, tell them to speed up! We have to get out to the open sea now!” Rowell then got up and glared angrily at Emily.
In the fighter jet, Isaac turned on his microphone once more and found the private plane’s channel frequency.
He tuned in at once and said coldly in fluent Rippanese, “I am the fighter jet behind you, and I’m demanding you to turn back. This is an order. If you disobey, I will not hesitate to shoot. I repeat. I will shoot.”
