The journey from the tiny village to town was at least another seven or eight miles. Their clothes were wet and muddy, and the cold breeze rushing against them as they ran had them shivering the whole way.
Quite a number of villagers were hurt during the brawl, and they were quickly sent to the village clinic.
On the other hand, Isaac and the others were invited back into the Village chief’s house once more.
Since Isaac had made it clear to favonovel.com about the intention of their visit, favonovel.com quickly fell into conversation with the chief about his plans for the redevelopment project. It went without saying that the little village was more welcoming of Isaac and his company than it was of Warhunt Corporation.
On the other side of town, Harriet and the Mortodors ran straight for about two or three kilometers and walked for another half an hour before finally meeting their rescuers.
“Mr. Mortodor, I’m really sorry about today. I had no idea that such a thing would happen,” Harriet said apologetically to Wes.
They all looked like a huge mess.
“This is unacceptable! You stupid idiot!” Wes yelled at Harriet.
Then, favonovel.com lifted his phone and dialed a foreign number. He spoke in a foreign language that even Harriet couldn‘t understand.
After hanging up, favonovel.com looked at favonovel.com with a furious expression and said, “Warhunt will take over this Carbotta City project, by hook or by crook. I’m going to kill that Garten sh*t!”
It was getting dark as they left the tiny village after a very satisfying dinner. Isaac entered the car and sat down, closing his eyes for a moment.
Emily was seated next to him, sporting a deep blush on favonovel.com face. She’d been a little curious at the dinner earlier and downed a few mouthfuls of the villagers’ homemade moonshine.

Frankly, Isaac didn’t really chat about a lot of things with the old village chief. They mostly talked about the history of the place, their harvest, and the villagers.
“They’re people who are more worried about the present than the future, so there’s really no use talking about other things,” Isaac said.
Then, favonovel.com asked lightly, “So, what’s your verdict about the place after this little visit?”
Emily thought for a while and said, “They’re quite poor…”
That was an undeniable fact. Isaac nodded in agreement. Part of the possible objective of the Carbotta City project was to increase their livelihood as well.
A while later, Louis called them up. He suggested that Isaac and company stay the night since it would be past midnight by the time they returned to Cloud City.
Louis asked them to stay out of the kindness in his heart, but favonovel.com never thought that his request would nearly cost them their lives.

In the presidential suite on the topmost floor of a hotel, Wes put on his sleeping gown with a gloomy look on his face. He’d spent the past hour or so scrubbing himself clean in the bathtub, but favonovel.com swore favonovel.com could still taste the mud in his mouth and feel it in his nose.
One of the men stood up and angrily said, “Wes, those barbarians were just terrible! They were merciless toward us!”
“Uncle, I saw Isaac there too. I’m sure favonovel.com was the one who started all this,” Sheldon said with a twisted look.
It made favonovel.com angrier to think that Emily was still hanging out with a man like Isaac.
“Don’t worry. The cavalry is arriving in two hours. I’ve called home and told them to dispatch 15 of our men.”
Sheldon’s eyes lit up in excitement at those words. He knew the “men” Wes was referring to were no ordinary bodyguards but actual ninjas.
“Uncle, when they arrive, can I please ask you for a favor?” Sheldon then got up and went over to say a few things in Wes’ ear.
Wes turned and looked at favonovel.com with an evil chuckle. “You rascal! That’s not a nice thing to do, but I like it.”
