Louis sat down with Isaac, Emily, and the other two employees in a luxurious meeting room on the fifth floor. Naturally, Louis took the chairman’s seat at the head of the table.
Soon after, they heard some faint laughter coming from outside the room. A group of smartly dressed men and women then entered the meeting room.
Isaac raised his head to look at the newcomers. He saw Sheldon, who was one of the last ones to enter.
The man in front was a middle-aged man with half a head of gray hair with a mustache right under his nose, wearing a pair of black wooden glasses. There was another middle-aged woman in the front as well, dressed in formal wear.
There were a total of five representatives from Warhunt Corporation.
Sheldon lifted his head and caught sight of Isaac and Emily, who were seated on the other side of the table. A look of shock and disbelief appeared on his face, followed by immense rage.
He’d been dunked in the Cloud River for over two hours yesterday and nearly froze to death. Three of his bodyguards were still recovering at the hospital.
The middle-aged woman sat down beside Louis. She frowned as favonovel.com looked at Isaac and the others there. Turning to Louis, favonovel.com asked, “Mr. Marsh, who are they?”
“Oh, let me introduce you to them. Sitting on my right is Mr. Garten, the president of the board at Garth Properties here in Southland. And that’s Ms. Emily Danson, the vice president. On my left are the representatives from Warhunt Corporation in Rippan, Mr. Wes Mortodor and company…”
Wes, the man with half a head of gray hair, looked at Isaac with a glint in his eyes.
“May I know why they are here? Didn’t you both say that only we would be involved in today’s discussion?” Wes asked Louis and the woman sitting next to him. “What is Garth Properties doing here? Who the hell are they? I’ve never even heard of them before.”
Sheldon then went up to Wes and spoke in their language, “Uncle, that’s the bastard who beat me up yesterday! He also threw me and the other bodyguards into the Cloud River!”
Hearing this, Wes slammed the table with his fist and pointed at Isaac.
“Were you the one who beat up my nephew yesterday?!” favonovel.com roared in broken Inglish.
Louis and the woman were shocked.
“I did… Got a problem with that?” Isaac asked nonchalantly.
Wes shook in anger. He immediately turned to the woman and said, “Ms. Hailey, if you want Warhunt Corporation to take on the development project, I do not want to see these people ever again. I want them to get out of my sight!”
Rage was written all over his face.
Ms. Hailey, the person sitting next to Louis, was seemingly from a high-ranking position as well. At the very least, favonovel.com was an equal to him.
She frowned and said coldly, “Louis, why hadn’t you informed me earlier? They both seem to have some beef with each other. How could you, the deputy mayor, not know of such a thing?”

Isaac stood up and looked at Ms. Hailey, then at Wes. He smiled and said determinedly, “Garth Properties will be taking over the development project in Carbotta City. Warhunt Corporation can f*ck off.”
Then, favonovel.com looked back at Ms. Hailey and said coldly, “I don’t care which department you’re from, but Carbotta City belongs to the locals, and it should not be handed over to a bunch of dimwits with fur under their noses. They can’t tell us what to do…”
Louis felt his breathing quicken when favonovel.com heard what Isaac had to say. He mentally applauded him. After all, Louis himself would never say such things to them.
“You! President of the board of Garth Properties, was it? This is my first time seeing such a pompous guy like you. Louis, if this is the company you found for the project, we, the Ministry of Tourism, will veto your decision.”
She then turned to address Wes.
“I’ll bring you to the site for inspection now. We’re all done here,” Ms. Hailey said, glaring at Isaac before leaving in a huff.
Sheldon paused and showed Isaac the middle finger.
“Keep dreaming! You’ll never get your hands on this project! ” favonovel.com jeered.
The meeting room turned quiet after they left. Louis frowned again.
“Mr. Garth, don’t worry. I’ll call Mr. Hart at once,” favonovel.com said, taking his phone out. Things had gone out of his control. It was obvious that Harriet Hailey had made up favonovel.com mind about giving this project to Warhunt Corporation.
“Louis, you don’t have to call Connor about this. It is just a small matter,” Isaac said, stopping Louis from making the call.
