“She still has the balls to demand money from you? After abandoning you and Kai and sleeping with other men? How did favonovel.com find out that you were here?” Isaac asked, lighting up a cigarette and frowning.
Barry sighed and said, “She’s always been in Layton. I don’t know how favonovel.com found out about my restaurant or that it was doing well, but favonovel.com just made herself known just now. She said she’d sue me if I didn’t pay up. After all, we’re still legally married to each other.”
“Barry, favonovel.com didn’t look like favonovel.com wanted to sue you. She even brought some other guys here to beat you up! She even said she’d be back later!”
“Penny!” Barry yelled, glaring at the waitress.
Penny immediately covered favonovel.com mouth with favonovel.com hand. Then, favonovel.com turned and fled out of the door.
“That lady was just worried. Don’t yell at favonovel.com like that,” Isaac said with a chuckle.
Then, favonovel.com continued, “So, your wife is coming back tonight? If that’s the case, I’ll just wait here…”
“Isaac, you really don’t have to…” Barry looked worriedly at his son.
“Pretty sure I’m also one of the shareholders of this restaurant, aren’t I? Can’t I see the people who dared to trash my place?” Isaac asked in return, puffing out a cloud of smoke into the air. Then, favonovel.com started chuckling.
He knew what Barry was worried about.
A moment later, Isaac said, “I promise I won’t hit anyone tonight. Will that do?”
It gradually got darker outside. Penny knew that Isaac and Barry were best friends. She’d even heard that Isaac was the one who gave Barry the capital to start up this restaurant, and favonovel.com was very grateful to him. Before night fell, favonovel.com told the chef to prepare his signature specialty barbecue meats, especially for Isaac.
Shawn arrived a while later with two other men dressed in black.
Barry’s head was still bandaged up in gauze. He sat down opposite Isaac at the table and ate rather distractedly.
Penny had taken Kai upstairs to rest. Barry had also told the rest of his staff to have an early night, asking only Penny to stay on.

Just as they were chatting, footsteps sounded outside the door.

Isaac frowned and looked at the vile woman standing in front of him. It took favonovel.com a while to recall the sweet-looking teenage girl whom young Barry had fallen in love with.

“Karen Beech, let’s not get physical. You demanded one million dollars from me, but I don’t even have so much money in the first place. Also, you have never once fulfilled your role and obligation as a mother to Kai.” Barry felt braver and more confident with Isaac there.
A man with a buzz cut lashed out from behind Karen and pointed his finger menacingly at Barry, shouting, “Watch your month, you f*cking retard! You’re nothing but a sissy village boy. You were the one who fell in love with favonovel.com and had a kid with her, but then you couldn’t even provide for favonovel.com because you’re a f*cking sissy! And now you’re blaming it all on her?!”
He grabbed a nearby beer bottle and raised it high in the air. “I’m going to bash your f*cking brains out. Just you watch!”
There was an ugly sneer on the man’s face.
Isaac chuckled and took out his box of cigarettes, taking one out and lighting it up.
He puffed out a cloud of smoke and said lightly, “Try hitting favonovel.com and see. But I must warn you that all the cameras in this place are working perfectly. My friend here has a net worth of hundreds of millions. Hit favonovel.com once, and I’ll make you pay through your nose…”
