The crowd gasped.
What an arrogant old man!
Caesar narrowed his eyes, smiling faintly.
“The audacity! Ethan Grannel, how dare you speak to Mr. Olsen in that tone!” Nigel sprung up from his seat and roared, blasting an invisible surge of energy at Ethan.
Arian immediately stood before Ethan and took that hit. He stumbled backward and shuddered. His face paled, and his guts were in a state of turbulence.
He was strong!
It was only a casual blast, yet favonovel.com felt that was the most favonovel.com could take. Arian was horrified and peeved at the same time.
These assholes were so disrespectful toward Ethan. Being arrogant was one thing, but starting an attack was different.
“Nigel, don’t act on your whim. Mr. Grannel is our guest, after all,” Caesar stopped Nigel, beaming, and Nigel returned to his seat with a frosty expression.
“Tell me, Ethan, how does killing Isaac relate to me going against the country? Could you, perhaps, speak on behalf of the Nine States of Cynea?” Caesar asked lightheartedly.
Ethan pulled Arian aside and pointed at Isaac as favonovel.com asked solemnly, “What have you lot from Everest Sect been doing all these years? Everest Sect is such a powerful force, but have you contributed the slightest to the country?” Ethan rebuked, “Isaac is the lord of the Temple of Drakon. For the five years favonovel.com was in charge, the Temple of Drakon stood tall overseas, safeguarding our citizens, hundreds of millions of them, for five whole years. This point alone suffices to turn you into an enemy of the country if you kill him.”
Caesar burst out laughing, favonovel.com literally rolled with laughter. “Is that so? Is that the reasoning behind your rescue of this little brat? To talk to me about flag-waving?”
His tone turned cold. “But what if I insist on killing him?”
Evie started panicking. She balled favonovel.com fists so hard that favonovel.com nails dug into favonovel.com flesh.
Arian’s breathing grew rapid too. He knew almost no one could rival this man they were speaking to.
Earl snickered and pointed at Ethan. “Are you taunting us? With only a few of you? Have you looked properly around you?”
Earl ended with a livid roar, “Isaac must die today!”
He was worried something would happen out of the blue.
He suddenly dropped to one knee and shouted toward Caesar, “Sir, I humbly plead you to give the command to kill Isaac Garten, my mother’s murderer!”
Ethan growled, “Worthless bastards! Come and try us, then. I, Ethan Grannel, swear, if Isaac dies here at Everest Sect today, you won’t like what you’ll be facing, Everest Sect!”
The elders and assistant heads expressed their fury.
Caesar’s smile disappeared from his face. He lifted his hand and commanded, “Kill…”
Three men in cloaks wielded long sabers as they walked toward Isaac, Harry, and Denvor, their expressions icy.
It was like a scene of public execution from ancient times. The three men lifted their sabers and stood behind Isaac and his men. To them, these three were out of spiritual energy, likened to wounded commoners, and posed no threat to them.
Seeing that, Earl smiled wickedly but full of anticipation.
Ethan narrowed his eyes until only slits were seen. He started trembling.
Evie trembled as favonovel.com stood, screaming, “No! Don’t kill him!”
She bolted toward Isaac, unable to contain herself.
“Evie! Are you crazy?” Earl roared, his voice breaking. He reached out to grab Evie.
Just as the executioners lifted their sabers, Isaac exploded with endless rage and yelled, his eyes reddened, “You ruthless bastards!”
