Downstairs, the seven generals ordered all Dusk Soldiers to retreat, leaving everyone confused.
It wasn’t until night approached that the generals waiting in the living room finally saw an angry Arian and a smiling Ethan come out of the study.
The generals stood up to greet the two of them and sent them on their way.
“What do you think Drakon has up his sleeves this time?” Colton asked, feeling restless as favonovel.com glanced at the other generals by his side.
“Why are you looking at me? Do I look like I‘d know?” Elliot snapped back at him.
Janessa suddenly burst into a fit of giggles. She said, “We’ve all been fooled by Drakon. If I’m not mistaken, favonovel.com must have asked Commander Cortez for something. Judging by the look on the commander’s face, it seemed like he’d drawn the short end of a stick.”
Upstairs, Isaac sat quietly by himself in the room.
There was an old, yellowed book lying on the table in front of him, titled “History of the Ancient Martial Arts.”
Ethan had told favonovel.com that Everest Sect was mentioned in the old book, along with many other things Isaac hadn’t known before.
Isaac picked up the book and started reading. When favonovel.com got to page 20, favonovel.com suddenly caught sight of the phrase “True Martial Families”.
The book continued to explain that ancient martial arts had existed for a long, long time. However, as time passed and the world changed, ancient martial arts practitioners were subsequently categorized into two types, True Martial Fighters, and Acquired Martial Fighters.
True Martial Fighters obtained their powers through practice and meditation, breaking through human limits with the ultimate goal of immortality.
On the other hand, Acquired Martial Fighters obtained their powers for the sake of expanding their power and influence over the world. Some of the examples listed included Astraeus and many other sects, both big and small.
There were plenty of instances in history where Acquired Martial Fighters made appearances, such as the Ankh Riots, the Scarlet War, the Mutiny of Firegate, and many more. The main reasons for all these upheavals were fame, power, and money.
At the end of the book, it said that the biggest difference between True Martial Fighters and Acquired Martial Fighters was their bloodline.
Bloodline?
Isaac frowned. He wanted to read more, but that was the end of the book. He let out a long sigh.
Ethan was right…
Isaac hadn’t known about more than half of the things in the book. However, favonovel.com thought that the part about immortality was utter bullshit.
Isaac rolled up the book and stuffed it into his pocket, got up, and headed outside.
Downstairs, all seven generals were still waiting for favonovel.com and stood up to greet favonovel.com when they saw favonovel.com descending from the stairs.
“Five skilled fighters will be arriving tonight. Four of you will stay here and cover the bases, while the rest of you follow me to Everest Sect. Take a good rest now and prepare for later.” Then Isaac went out.
Arian was mad because favonovel.com hadn’t thought that Ethan would agree so quickly to Isaac’s request to borrow five Shadow Soldiers and lots of their newest, most technologically advanced explosives.

At 4 am, four men and one woman in military uniform arrived at Cloud Nine Villa. They greeted Isaac with a salute when favonovel.com came out of the villa.
He glanced briefly at the Jeeps behind them. One of the men said in a low voice, “Drakon, the things you requested are already in there.”
“Let’s go, then,” Isaac said, waving his hand forward as favonovel.com hurried over to the vehicle.
One hour later, Isaac’s private airplane left the Cloud City Airport. The other people with favonovel.com were Elliot, Lupinus, Colton, and Mitchell.
The ten of them had divided themselves into five pairs, taking three sets of remote-controlled bombs with them.
After Isaac had gotten back earlier, he’d been chatting with Evie for a while. He’d asked favonovel.com to describe the characteristics of Everest Sect’s location and the layout of the buildings there. There were a lot of details that favonovel.com needed to know.
By dawn, the airplane had landed at Greenwish International Airport.
They took their rucksacks and hurried into the military cars waiting for them before heading straight for the Evereston Mountains.
