Arian continued jokingly but straightforwardly, “I was concerned that you would decide to follow them to Everest Sect. If you did, I’d get a migraine!”
Isaac stared directly at Arian and asked, “You seem to know Everest Sect well?”
“Not completely, but I do know something about them. The fire’s blazing here, Isaac… Let’s talk somewhere else.” Arian looked around at the fiery place and patted Isaac’s shoulder.
Isaac looked at the generals and said, “Come with me. Leave only 500 soldiers to keep an eye on the fire so it doesn’t spread downhill where the citizens are. Dismiss the rest!”
Isaac, the seven generals, and Arian’s team sped southward.

In a luxury hotel 50 kilometers away. Arian and Isaac were alone in a suite.
“Isaac, Astraeus is gone now. Everyone under them is in a state of disunity. You can’t be leaving this utter mess to the House of Custos now, can you?” Arian lit a cigarette and looked at Isaac.
“Heh! Supreme Commander, we have innumerable martial art practitioners in the country, you could take this opportunity to absorb everyone into the House of Custos. It’s beneficial for you, isn’t it?” Isaac chuckled.
Arian’s expression turned sullen. He said in a deep voice, “Isaac, that’s not what I meant… Before I came, Mr. Grannel told me that the Temple of Drakon can’t just create a gaping hole and leave it unfilled. Those were his exact words, and I second him. If you have different opinions, you can go to Mr. Grannel…”
“Alright… I believe you. Now tell me about Everest Sect. That man earlier looked formidable. First, tell me where Everest Sect is.” Isaac lit a cigarette and smoked it.
Arian got up and went to the window. He looked out at the night sky and said sullenly, “By right, I shouldn’t be talking to you about these because of my identity. But Isaac, you and I are comrades, and I’d never keep anything from you… In our records, the last mention of the Everest Sect was during ancient times, and we found traces of their activity later on…”
“As far as I know, even the weakest practitioner in the Everest Sect was in the Divinity Phase. They might even house practitioners at the legendary Celestial Phase. The House of Custos had tried reaching out to them but to no avail.”
Isaacâs brows furrowed deeper. He asked, “Where is it?”
Arian smiled wryly and shook his head. He answered, “We can’t find it. We narrow their whereabouts to the Evereston Mountains, but if you’re aware, the mountain range is extensive. The House of Custos used the best technology available but couldn’t locate it… The people in the sect seem to live a peaceful life away from worldly affairs. Perhaps they only have eyes on advancing their cultivation abilities.”
After a moment, favonovel.com advised solemnly, “So Isaac, don’t ever go up against Everest Sect. This is for your own good…”
Isaac blew out a smoke ring and slowly said, “I heard you. Thanks for your reminder, Supreme Commander. If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”
“Leave? Where are you going at this hour?”
“I’m going home, or else my wife will worry,” mumbled Isaac as favonovel.com left.

At dawn, three people appeared before the ruins of the burned Astraeus headquarters. The one in the lead was a woman, with alluring curves, in a black cloak.
Another man in a black cloak exited the ruins and strode toward the woman, a half-burned shoe in his hand.
His voice quivered as favonovel.com said, “E-Eminente, I found only Mr. Hockeny’s shoe…”
Eminente picked up the shoe with a trembling hand. Then, favonovel.com looked up, revealing favonovel.com charming looks, and shouted, “Isaac Garten! Deviant Cult will hunt you down till the end of the world!”
Her voice was icy as favonovel.com said, “You guys return to the cult. I’m going to Cloud City.”
She turned and disappeared into the night.
