The generals stormed toward Mordred.
On the topmost floor of Astraeus’ building, Ralph wondered how much time Mordred and Astraeus’ elites could buy.
He squinted while his body trembled.
Too fast… The Temple of Drakon is advancing very fast…
The generals closed in, their imposing aura looming over the enemy, their roars ringing throughout the vicinity.
“Surrender and be spared!”
“Surrender and be spared!”
Two continuous roars rang out.
Suddenly, Mordred dropped to his knees and raised his hands, shouting, “I… I surrender!”
There were gasps all around!
The other elders stared at him, dumbfounded.
Did First Elder just surrender?
The generals had split up and stood around them, emitting ferocity. The Dusk Soldiers parted and swiftly surrounded them too.
“Surrender and be spared!” The Dusk Soldiers’ roars were deafening.
The elders, the strongest of the batch, hesitated for several seconds after watching Mordred surrender. Then, they sighed, shut their eyes, and knelt.
The martial art experts behind them saw them surrender. They looked around at the massive number of Dusk Soldiers and the dreadful surges of spiritual energy radiating from the generals.
Whoosh!
All 5 ,000 men, Astraeus’ last elites, surrendered. Resisting was futile, they’d lose their lives for nothing.
“Bastard! Son of a bitch! Mordred, you brute! Surrendering with the whole lot! Someone! Anyone! Kill Mordred’s family!” Ralph exploded with anger after watching this scene from the window.
The Jeep slowed to a stop before Mordred.
Isaac got out. Jeremiah, Phineas, and the rest walked out from behind him.
Isaac smiled and nodded as favonovel.com looked at the kneeling elites from Astraeus.
Then, favonovel.com looked at Mordred and said calmly, “You made the right choice, proves you have some conscience left…”
Isaac patted Mordred‘s shoulder. “Bring your men and leave. You should go, too, and never return. Understand?” said Isaac softly.
Mordred was stunned. He looked at Isaac in disbelief. “A-Are you really willing to let us go?”
“What did you think I would do? Kill the whole lot? I’m not a tyrant, you know that…” Isaac made fun of himself.
“T-Thank you, Drakon…” Mordred bowed at Isaac and sprung to his feet.
Mordred turned and shouted to the men behind him, “Everyone! You’re all the pillars and elites of Astraeus, but you’ve seen what happened today. We did our best but to no avail. Drakon was merciful enough to spare us, so let’s dismiss. Let the one who started everything answer for himself.” Mordred looked up at the topmost floor of the tallest building as favonovel.com spoke.
It was as though favonovel.com could see someone shaking with anger behind the windows.
Mordred smiled coldly and left. He made up his mind, he’d never return to the country if favonovel.com could leave Neuport alive.
In fact, Mordred’s surrender was something Isaac never expected, it cut down the number of innocent lives lost. Therefore, favonovel.com spontaneously decided to let them go.
Black Phoenix had just informed favonovel.com of Ralph’s whereabouts, together with the remaining two elders and several trusted subordinates. He was now at a dead end!
Ralph sweated furiously, panicking when the last line of defense collapsed without putting up a fight. He could only watch Astraeus’ elites go their separate ways, favonovel.com was at his wits’ ends. He wondered when the backup from the House of Custos would arrive.
He turned and saw Sam, who had just arrived with a black cloak wrapped tightly around him. He strode toward favonovel.com and grabbed his collars, growling, “Where did Eminente go for favonovel.com meditation?”
Sam’s power core broke, and favonovel.com was now no better than a wretch.
He smirked. “No one knows. Why? You are the Supreme Leader of Astraeus. You can’t be thinking of seeking shelter under the Deviant Cult, can you?”
Sam caught wind of the recent happenings. He knew why Ralph brought favonovel.com here. Ralph wanted to sacrifice him!
