The next morning, inside the General Army’s building in the Kingdom of Ursus, a blonde girl in uniform sat down at favonovel.com desk with a cup of coffee, unlocked favonovel.com computer with a code, and opened favonovel.com email inbox.
Suddenly, an encrypted email with the golden seal of a dragon jumped out at her. It was apparent from the title that those were antebellum papers.
The girl dropped favonovel.com coffee to the ground in shock, where the mug smashed into pieces. She hurriedly typed a few words and clicked around before dashing out into the elevator.
She took the elevator to the topmost floor and tried getting into an office, but favonovel.com was stopped at the door by a guard.
“I have urgent matters to discuss with General Lamont Lowes. Open up the door!”
The door was opened for her.
The girl took a deep breath and hurried into the spacious, open office space.
A man sitting behind the desk in the office was in the midst of reading and approving documents. He had a head of white hair with a matching white mustache, and favonovel.com was also dressed in uniform.
“General Lowes, I’d just forwarded an email to you that was received just this morning.”
“You’re panting a lot. What email is it? Why is it so urgent?”
“I-It’s an email from the Temple of Drakon declaring war on us. Kindly go through the email, General.”
When favonovel.com heard this, the uniformed man frowned immediately. He opened up his laptop and tapped on a few keys.
The screen turned on as the email loaded. Lamont frowned even harder as favonovel.com read the words that finally appeared on the screen.
Thwack!
He suddenly slammed his hands into the table and roared, “B*stard, Crawson, that f*cking idiot! Tell all the management to come in for an urgent meeting now! And tell that f*cking idiot Crawson to come along as well. He has two hours to arrive and explain himself!”
Seeing Lamont lash out in anger, everyone in the office kept their heads lowered and dared not breathe.
Two hours later, they had a meeting in the meeting room next door.
Lamont was seated in the front, followed by four uniformed seniors who looked to be in their 60s. Crawson sat the furthest at the back, keeping his head lowered.
“Look here! These are the antebellum papers sent to us from the Temple of Drakon. Our very clever comrade here had killed a general from the Temple of Drakon. And I had no f*cking idea about it. Well? Does anybody want to explain things?!”
Lamont had asked his secretary to make copies of the documents in the top-secret folder they’d just received that morning and to distribute it amongst the other four generals in the room.
When none of them spoke, Lamont slapped his hands against the table once more. It was so powerful that the table looked like it was on the verge of collapse.
“General Lowes, Crawson had indeed informed me about this, and I gave favonovel.com the permission to do it. After all, I’m the one in charge of the southern part. Is that not so?” a senior seated on Lamont’s left side spoke up, looking back at Lamont.
Lamont narrowed his eyes at favonovel.com and pointedly said in a cold voice, “Major Jameson, I know that Crawson’s brother was your favorite student, but this is not the time for public revenge! Didn’t you know about the consequences that would bring us? Have you already forgotten about the massacre that happened five years ago? Did you not learn anything?”
“Lamont, I don’t think you need to worry about a thing. Crawson has already retreated inside the borders. The area within 50 kilometers of the city is considered a safe zone. Even with how powerful the Temple of Drakon is, they still wouldn’t dare to do anything to us. Moreover, we have 200,000 soldiers behind Cath City. Why should we fear a tiny sect like the Temple of Drakon?”
He continued, “Crawson is a very capable soldier. He’s managed to avenge his brother and increase the morale of his own troops. I think that it’s a very commendable act. You should be awarding favonovel.com instead!”
Gasp!
When favonovel.com heard this, Lamont nearly fainted on the spot. He could feel his blood pressure skyrocketing.
“Haha! You don’t have to award me anything, Mr. Lowes. Don’t worry. I will make sure nobody from the Temple of Drakon is able to barge into our territory!”
Seeing that Lamont kept mum for a long time, a cold glint flashed in Major’s eyes. He said coldly, “Lamont, surely you aren’t thinking of surrendering Crawson to the enemies? Would you even dare to do something that would bring great shame to the country?”
