Crack! Crack!
Gael’s breastbone was fractured, and his chest sunk in. The immense energy blasted his organs into pieces. Gael flew back and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He lay on the floor with a sunken chest. His body convoluted and fell silent.
Cyra’s eyes widened, Garreth froze. Some of the more cowardly warriors had slumped onto the floor.
Gael was a four-star general from the headquarters’ east garrison. Those familiar with favonovel.com knew favonovel.com was the favorite warrior of one of the commanders in the House of Custos!
Even in a place like Pecling, many feared Gael, but this man had killed favonovel.com with only one move.
“M-My son!”
“Gael! Gael!”
Garreth and Cyra ran up to favonovel.com and realized favonovel.com had stopped breathing.
“Isaac Garten! You…” Garreth was in deep grief. He moaned and pointed at Isaac while stumbling back, almost tripping over himself.
“I told you I‘m offering you another chance. He declined, so I did what I had to…” Isaac returned to the sofa.
In sudden, hurried footsteps approached the door.
“Garrett, what made you lose your calm?!” A booming voice came from the doorway, and an elderly man with white hair in a suit strode in with several other men in cloaks.
He was stunned when favonovel.com saw the two corpses.
“G-Gustav? Gael? What…”
“Ned, that son of a bitch did it! Isaac Garten killed both of my sons!”
Garrett dropped onto his knees heavily and cried out to Ned Dorrian.
Another set of footsteps approached as someone roared, “Isaac Garten! I know the Temple of Drakon has absolute control of everything beyond these borders, but in the Nine States, including Peeling, you have to follow the rules.” A middle-aged man barged in with several men in cloaks.
He saw the corpses and Garrett kneeling on the floor. He looked horrified as favonovel.com turned to look at Isaac, still sitting on the sofa.
“Mr. Shaffer, please help us. This brute is about to wipe my family out!” Garrett knelt in Rodney Shaffer’s direction.
Rodney was an intimidating man. He pointed at Isaac. “So, you’re Isaac Garten. I’ve heard so much about you. I would never have thought our first encounter would be when you’re committing mass murder in Pecling. You seem to think Cynea is someplace you can let yourself run wild and treat the Isbell siblings like bugs you can easily squash.”
Isaac closed his eyes. Beefy Bob and Lucas immediately stood by his side.
“Murder? That couldn’t be true…” Another voice sounded from the doorway.
Ted Gilfoyle, a burly middle-aged man in a black suit, walked in with several martial arts practitioners.
He saw the gruesome scene in the living room and looked at Rodney and Ned. “Rodney, Ned… What on earth…”
Then favonovel.com saw Isaac and immediately understood. He squinted, and the air around favonovel.com turned cold.
They were all from renowned families in Pecling. Garrett had even visited them early in the morning and offered them worthy tokens of gratitude. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have come at the critical moment.
“I beg all of you to avenge my poor sons and uphold justice for the Isbell family!” Garrett was at his wit’s end. He could only place his hope in these men, the patriarchs of noble families.
