Due to the school’s background, its students were of high birth. Therefore, the school had sent a few staff members to remove obstacles from the hiking trail two days earlier and restrict access. Also, the mountain’s caretaker had increased the number of security guards on duty.
That said, nothing could have possibly happened on the trip, as they had taken precautionary measures. However, after lunch, Jodie and Jenson, who were in charge of Isabella’s class, saw that the maples were blooming gorgeously and had left in search of picturesque spots to take a few photos.
They had left the students unsupervised for half an hour and hadn’t realized one of them was missing until they took the students’ attendance on the bus at 4.30 pm.
The school staff had returned to the mountain immediately and searched for two hours until it was dark, but to no avail. It was only then that they reported the incident to the authorities.
Later, Allegra received a call from Jodie, informing favonovel.com of the events.
Isaac’s eyes almost spat fire. He sat on the chair and glared unblinkingly at Jodie, who was kneeling on the floor. Nothing would change even if favonovel.com took this irresponsible woman’s life.
Isaac took a deep breath and said slowly, “If anything happens to my daughter, both of you can start planning your funerals…”
Allegra was weeping uncontrollably.
Why, of all people, was Isabella the one to disappear?
The school had everything neatly planned, too, this incident was obviously a preplanned kidnapping.
Amos’ eyes rolled back in to his head when favonovel.com heard the word “funeral”. He toppled over.
There were footsteps, and a senior man who didn’t look his age strode in with two guards.
“Mr. Garten!” the man looked flurried. His heart jumped when favonovel.com saw Isaac’s expression and the man lying on the floor.
Isaac was furious and didn’t utter a word.
Huxley could only sigh. “Our management’s negligence and flaw led to this incident. I’ve already commanded the authorities in Pecling to go all out. Every officer is on duty today. Please calm down, Mr. Garten!”
Isaac pointed at Jodie and Amos. He looked at Huxley and said coldly, “Get two coffins for them before anything else.”
Isaac got up and briskly left. “Ally, let’s go to the Law Enforcement Unit…”
Jodie clambered toward Huxley and cried, “Uncle Woodward, I’m Jodie Watt. My father-in-law is…”
“Stop! I know who you are. You guys really screwed up this time. Not even your father-in-law can save you if that man makes up his mind!”
Huxley looked stern. He glanced at Wendell and said, “Ask the Law Enforcement Unit to get ready. We’ll be there too! Damn it!”
Wendell wiped his sweat and pulled out his phone, nodding.
“Ally, don’t worry too much. Bella will be fine. If they wanted to kill her, favonovel.com would’ve been no more by now.” Isaac patted Allegra’s shoulder.
Then favonovel.com called Black Phoenix and said, “Bella went missing on Mt. Herbes near Natura Gazebo between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm yesterday. Look for anything suspicious!”
At the same time, sirens wailed in every law enforcement unit in Pecling. Law enforcement vehicles and special vehicles sped toward Mt. Herbes, lights flashing.
Most of Pecling’s residents were startled when they heard the piercing sirens late at night.
At a serene residence somewhere in Peeling, armed guards stood upright by the gates.
A room facing north was lit up. Garrett put on his coat as favonovel.com went to the living room.
The sirens woke favonovel.com up. Garrett frowned as favonovel.com sat.
A man in uniform walked in swiftly. He asked in a low tone, “Sir, why are you awake?”
“The sirens are deafening. Ask around and find out what’s happening…” Garrett felt uneasy.
