Amos Hyde, the principal, approached Isaac with his hands behind his back.
He eyed favonovel.com and coldly asked, “Are you the parents of the missing child from Cloud City? Do you know whose son Jenson is? His father is the deputy chief of police in Pecling. Are you sure you want to do this?”
Eugene’s legs felt weak, and favonovel.com sat heavily on the ground. He didn’t know how eminent a deputy chief was, but it seemed that Isaac had slapped someone favonovel.com shouldn‘t have.
“Hands on your heads! Take them away!” Amos waved, and the warriors closed in on them.
“Isaac, what now? Isaac…” Allegra was so panicked that favonovel.com almost cried.
Just then, a black Jeep appeared at high speed.
The door opened, and a middle-aged man in military uniform with a brigaclier general’s epaulet emerged. He roared, “Stop whatever you’re doing!”
He then briskly walked up to Isaac and saluted him.
“My apologies for being late, sir… I’ll willingly receive my punishment…” The man, Wendell Ortiz, lowered his head. He was sweating.
Amos saw favonovel.com and was stunned. He had a bad feeling about this.
“Mr. Ortiz, w-what brings you here?” Amos quickly greeted him.
Isaac squinted and said, “My child is missing, and I‘ve been waiting for almost an hour here, but favonovel.com head teacher and the school administrators have the cheek to sleep like logs. I’m only here to follow up on the search, but they called me a bumpkin! Do I look like a bumpkin to you?”
Wendell was utterly dumbfounded and immediately paled. He turned and slapped Amos, yelling, “Lead the way to your office and get some tea immediately!”
Amos was taken aback by the slap. He stared blankly for ten seconds before scurrying toward his office.
Ten minutes later, everyone entered the office. Amos and Jodie trembled as they stood before Isaac.
“Get down on your knees!” ordered Isaac indifferently.
Amos and Jodie were both surprised.
“Now!” bellowed Isaac, pressuring them. They felt intimidated and kneeled with a jolt.
Wendell ahnost followed.
“Emeria Elementary School is attached to the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, yet a child has gone missing, aren’t you ashamed? Beefy Bob, get me Mr. Woodward from the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs.” Isaac turned to look at Beefy Bob, who nodded and started making calls.
Amos and Jodie felt their hair stand on end.
Mr. Woodward?
Only one person had that surname in the bureau, and that’s Huxley Woodward, the head of the bureau.
Who is this man?
Why would someone from Cloud City be so commanding?
Wendell immediately spoke up. “There’s no need to, Drakon. Mr. Woodward was already on his way when I reached here.”
Amos was already shaking all over. They were indeed referring to Huxley!
Isaac took a deep breath and said slowly, “Now, I need you to tell me all the details of what happened. Everything! I don’t want to waste my time on trash like you.”
Sobbing, Jodie blubbered and described how Isabella had gone missing.
The school had organized a hiking trip for 10 am the day before. The guards had taken more than 100 students to Mt. Herbes in the eastern suburbs. The school would organize such activities twice or thrice a year.
