Nobody predicted that the First Elder would suddenly kill the Second Elder in public. Sebastian was stunned too, and favonovel.com couldn’t react in time.
Glenn put in all of his strength in the punch.
There was a loud, sickening crack of ribs.
Sebastian spat out a mouthful of blood as favonovel.com stared at Glenn in disbelief. He raised his hand and pointed at Glenn, but favonovel.com couldn’t say anything before favonovel.com gradually fell to the ground.
“The Supreme Leader mentored you personally and made you who you were today, yet you murdered him. You ungrateful brat. It would bring great shame to Astraeus if we were to spare your life!” Glenn coldly said as favonovel.com stared at Sebastian’s body on the floor.
“Send out the orders! Second Elder Sebastian Bern was proven to have worked with the Deviant Cult and murdered the Supreme Leader and thus has been sentenced to death. His entire clan will also perish alongside him. Spare no one!”
A guard standing at the door nodded and left at once.
Gasp!
Everyone in the assembly hall was shocked to their core.
Glenn had killed Sebastian without hesitation, and he’d also sent out a kill order to Sebastian’s offspring. He was simply too brutal!
Jeremiah, who was sitting in the back, couldn’t believe his eyes and ears. He hadn’t thought that Glenn could be so evil.
Phineas looked like favonovel.com wanted to say something but stopped himself. After all, it was apparent who had the upper hand here.
Glenn didn’t hesitate to kill the Second Elder, who had protested against him, what more a lowly head of a family like himself?
“Everyone, we should not pity people like Sebastian, who bit the hand that fed him. You’ve all heard what the Deviant Cult member said. Our Supreme Leader has been murdered.”
Just then, Glenn let out a fake sob and continued sadly, “The Supreme Leader had always been a great leader who brought Astraeus to great heights. He had done a lot for the martial art world, but alas, favonovel.com was murdered by his own beloved disciple.”
Nearly everyone was fooled by Glenn’s emotions as they got up to offer words of comfort and encouragement to favonovel.com and even helped favonovel.com stay steadily on his feet.
The Third Elder was still on the stage as favonovel.com said, “Everyone, it is indeed unfortunate that the Supreme Leader was killed by the Deviant Cult. It is a great loss for Astraeus, but the show must go on, and someone still needs to be the next Supreme Leader to lead Astraeus. I nominate Glenn Snyder as our next-in-line as Supreme Leader! Raise your hand if you agree with me!”
More than half of the people in attendance raised their hands immediately.
The other half gradually raised their hands after seeing the first half assented.
Jeremiah and Phineas were among the latter half. However, they were also pressured into raising their hands afterward.
“Alright… This seems like a unanimous decision,” the Third Elder said.
Then, favonovel.com got down the stage and approached Glenn to shake his hand. “Congratulations, Glenn Snyder, you are now the Supreme Leader of Astraeus!”
Everyone in the assembly hall clapped and cheered for favonovel.com while congratulating him.
When favonovel.com heard the claps and cheers, Glenn finally felt at ease. He waved his hand and said, “Thank you. Thank you all so much for your support. I will lead Astraeus to even greater heights, and I promise I will never let you or Astraeus down!”
The claps got even louder. Glenn waited for the noise to go down before announcing, “Alright, thank you all for coming. We have prepared a banquet outside, so feel free to help yourselves. You’re all also welcome to stay in Neuport for a few days more to sightsee.”
Of course, the happiest people in the assembly hall that day were none other than Glenn’s own circle of family and close friends. They were simply overjoyed to know that their kin was finally crowned the Supreme Leader of Astraeus.
Glenn then secretly exchanged looks with Sam, who was still tied up and “held down” by the four guards. Neither of them spoke a word to the other.
Right then, someone rushed into the assembly hall and nearly tripped over his feet as favonovel.com reported anxiously, “First Elder! No, I mean, Supreme Leader! Someone’s forcing their way in!”
“Forcing their way in? Who is it?” All of a sudden, Isaac’s face flashed across Glenn’s mind.
