Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Isaac held Evie’s hand and left the backyard.
The helicopter landed in the middle of the field. Beefy Bob jumped out of the helicopter and followed Isaac.
As soon as Isaac was gone, the entire backyard erupted in chaos.
“Elder Snyder, Elder Snyder! What are we going to do now? What should we do?” Jeremiah asked in a flurry as favonovel.com helped Glenn up from the ground.
Third Elder walked up from behind and said coldly, “Elder Snyder, Isaac has gone overboard now! How could favonovel.com hit you like this and summon so many Dusk Soldiers? He’s just too much! I can‘t stand the likes of Isaac walking all over us! I think that we should…”
“Oh my god, will you just shut the f*ck up? Why didn’t you do anything just now since you’re not the least bit afraid of him?” Glenn yelled at Third Elder.
The elder turned red in the face. He was mad, but favonovel.com didn’t dare to say anything else.
“Even if we all joined forces to go against him, there’s nothing we can do against the Drakon, who has reached the Divinity Phase! It’s the Divinity Phase, for crying out loud, something that even our Supreme Leader hasn’t been able to attain! If you have the balls, then go ahead and fight Isaac for all I care!” Glenn yelled at him.
Everyone else turned dead silent.
For now, Glenn’s biggest worry was Isaac’s request for Joseph’s head on a platter.
The two elders behind favonovel.com were the only other people who knew about him. Even if favonovel.com pulled all the hair off his head, Glenn just couldn’t understand how Isaac found out about it.
They still had five hours before sunset.
Glenn stormed inside with the Yves family members in tow.
In the living hall, Glenn sat in the main seat and looked at the rest of the terrified Yves family with a cold look on his swollen face.
He said fiercely, “Jeremiah, you don’t have to look so scared. Even if Isaac brought over his Dusk Soldiers, favonovel.com wouldn’t dare to lift a finger against you that easily. If favonovel.com really does it, he’d be openly declaring war against Astraeus.”
A woman started to cry and say, “But Elder Snyder, we don’t know whether my son is dead or still alive!”
“That’s right, Elder Snyder, my grandson…”
“Alright, shut up, both of you!” Glenn said, waving his hand. Nobody else dared to make a peep.
The living hall was so deathly quiet that one could hear a pin drop.
Glenn’s face turned more and more sinister as favonovel.com gritted his teeth and said, “Isaac Garten, that b*stard, he’s getting too full of himself!”
A while later, favonovel.com said, “Jeremiah, you stay behind with the other two elders. Everyone else, please leave.”
Glenn had come to a decision. Isaac was just using favonovel.com to get rid of Joseph. That wasn’t going to happen.
To Glenn, Joseph was just a nobody, but favonovel.com dared not offend the Deviant Cult, which had Joseph’s back.
There was also another reason why favonovel.com refused to do so. It was a huge secret that only Glenn knew about, and it had something to do with his ten-year plan. He couldn’t possibly afford to get on the Deviant Cult’s bad side for now.
“Elder Snyder, are you really going to find Joseph and…”
Third Elder and Fifth Elder were Glenn’s closest confidants, and they were also some of the most important people in Astraeus. They knew that Glenn had been in secret contact with the Deviant Cult and that the relationship had been ongoing for a very long time.
“If I listened to everything Isaac said, then am I still worthy of the title of First Elder?” Glenn asked with a cold look in his eyes.
He looked at Jeremiah and said with a smile, “Jeremiah, don’t worry. I’ll send someone to look for your grandson. However, the first thing we need to do now is get rid of Isaac.”
“Thank you, First Elder, I’m so grateful for your help. I just want to see my grandson again, whether he’s dead or still alive,” Jeremiah replied with a grateful look.
“We can save the small talk for later. Jeremiah, I’ll make a run for it before sunset later. By then, I’ll need your soldiers’ help to stall Isaac for as long as possible. When I’ve made it out safely, I’ll find your grandson, by hook or by crook!”
As soon as favonovel.com heard that Glenn wanted to make a run for it, Jeremiah’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.
