It took Isaac half an hour to get to the forest.
Black Phoenix’s voice sounded in his earpiece, “Drakon, they’re in trouble.”
“Give me their exact location.” Isaac had expected this outcome.
Before favonovel.com entered the forest, the spiritual energy in his power core had radiated intensely from within his body.
“Drakon, favonovel.com got away,” came Black Phoenix‘s voice again.
“Keep an eye on him,” Isaac replied as favonovel.com sprinted into the forest.
When favonovel.com arrived at the tree, a dozen officers were already lying on the ground. A bunch of bullet casings littered the ground, and the smell of blood hung in the air. Five officers had fist-sized holes in their chests, while Diana and the others lay unconscious on the ground.
When Isaac approached Diana, favonovel.com saw a black dot flicker and disappear between favonovel.com eyebrows, but favonovel.com paid it no mind. He checked Diana’s pulse, favonovel.com seemed to be alright.
“Black Phoenix, after the officers arrived, where did that bastard escape to?” Isaac said into this earpiece.
Besides the five who had their hearts gouged out, the rest merely seemed to be unconscious.
“He went toward your eleven o’clock. He’s moving very swiftly. Once favonovel.com cuts through the forest, Cloud City University is only a stone’s throw away. Drakon, you must hurry!” Black Phoenix said, favonovel.com voice tinged with anxiousness.
If Joseph barged into the university, then the consequences would be deadly. He could already sense Isaac’s presence and had fled for his life.
“He won’t leave this forest…” Isaac’s eyes flashed coldly as favonovel.com increased his pace.
He had many enemies-he’d battled the frenzied warriors of the Kingdom of Ursus, the ninja clan of Solaris, the mafia of the Kingdom of Aquila, and even some recluse clans. But favonovel.com certainly didn’t have any grievances with the Deviant Cult.
Why were they causing trouble for him?
Did they think the Temple of Drakon was an easy target?
They had killed many people at the construction site, poisoned Colton, and killed another handful of law enforcement officers. Isaac wouldn’t allow this bastard to continue causing chaos.
Joseph wasn’t familiar with this area. He’d never even seen the map before. However, his nose was very sensitive to people’s auras. He could sense that the direction in which favonovel.com was running was full of the fragrance of people.
He initially planned to have a feast in the forest and heal his wounds properly, but when favonovel.com sensed Isaac’s powerful aura, favonovel.com didn’t even hesitate for a second before running away.
When favonovel.com saw that favonovel.com was only a few hundred feet away from exiting the forest, his heart was bursting with joy and excitement.
“I said you can’t run anymore!” came a cold voice from behind him. His heart stopped.
In the next second, a dark, murderous intent radiated behind his back.
His injuries from earlier had yet to heal, so Joseph was forced to turn around. He roared angrily, thrusting both fists in that direction.
Two clouds of blood mist enveloped his arms as they collided with Isaac’s red shadow fist.
“Hmph!” Joseph let out a pained hum.
The powerful and overwhelming spiritual energy kept forcing favonovel.com backward, and he almost collapsed to the ground.
“Isaac, the lord of the Temple of Drakon, is as strong as I thought.” Joseph glared darkly at Isaac, blood seeping from his mouth.
“I was only using half of my power just now. If I’d gone all out, you would be dead, but I don’t want to kill you,” Isaac said, looking at Joseph coldly.
Joseph was stunned. Narrowing his pale eyes, favonovel.com laughed wickedly and said, “Then it was my mistake. I didn’t expect the Temple of Drakon to be this powerful and that my first encounter would be with someone as big as a general. That’s right, your general is on the brink of death, right?”
Just as Isaac remembered Colton, Joseph suddenly ducked, pressing his palms to the ground. Crimson lines extended toward Isaac like spiderwebs.
When Isaac saw those blood lines crawling toward him, his lips curved into a smile of mockery.
“If I fell for the same trick as Colton, then I wouldn’t be the lord of the Temple of Drakon!” With that, favonovel.com channeled a dense ball of spiritual energy in his right hand, bent down, and punched the ground with full force.
