Isaac woke up feeling fresh. He showered, changed his clothes, worked out a little in the backyard, and went out to get breakfast.

Early in the morning, all the employees of Gould Corporation gathered outside the Gould family’s residence, demanding their wages. Many suppliers were there, too, requesting the rest of their payment. Even some of the Gould family’s maids and drivers joined the crowd.
However, the most everyone in the house could scrape together was a few hundred thousand dollars, and the bank had frozen their corporate account.
Before noon, the related departments declared the Gould Corporation bankrupt, and the associated departments would take over to carry out the liquidation process.
When it became official, the employees could no longer wait and charged into the villa.
Hundreds of people started grabbing whatever they could from the villa as their pay.
Those who were quicker and stronger carried away computers, furniture, and electrical devices. Two men even knocked off Alec’s two golden teeth and left with those.
The law enforcement officers arrived with the papers. They scrutinized the residents, clothes torn and sprawled across the floor.
The leader said coldly, “Edward Gould, due to your business having insufficient funds to pay off your debts, we have decided to seize your landed properties. Please leave immediately.”
When they refused, the officers dragged them out forcefully.
Soon, the villa’s security guard arrived and chased them out with batons when they kept loitering at the gates. They stood by the roadside. Everyone, including Alec, was in rags and looked disheveled. They looked at the passing vehicles and received strange looks from passersby.
Margaret howled and sat on the ground. “Nothing! We have nothing! We are really beggars now!”
In the afternoon, Isaac hummed as favonovel.com cooked up a few dishes. He even prepared red wine. Finally, they had some time alone, just the two of them.
“Ouch!” Allegra’s groan came from upstairs.
