Just as Isaac’s private plane left for Cloud City, a fleet of black cars drove out of a funeral parlor in Pecling and headed toward a quiet building in the city center.
Armed guards stood at the entrance, forbidding pedestrians and vehicles from coming within 100 yards of the house. It was clear that someone esteemed was residing there.
The second car’s door opened, and a middle-aged woman in a black dress walked into the house carrying an urn. She looked mournful.
Many had gathered in the main hall.
Garrett, in the lead, was an elderly man in his sixties, wearing a black suit. He held a cane and stood by the doorway, looking around outside, eyes reddened.

Another man in his early thirties nodded and chipped in, “That’s true, Dad. Gael has a point. We can’t let this slide easily. How can Cyra move on? In my opinion, for now, let’s gather information on how many experts Isaac has around favonovel.com before we figure out how to avenge Logan and Jordyn. Even if we can’t get to him, we can still get to his friends and family.”
