Isaac waved at Harry on the newcomers’ arrival, and Harry immediately called out to the Dusk Soldiers in the house to stop.
Glenn, the First Elder, was standing in the lead, wearing a maroon cloak. Behind favonovel.com were three elders in light red cloaks. They emitted subtle ripples of formidable spiritual energy and looked cold.
“First Elder! Save us! Save my family!” Cyrus screamed desperately for help, knowing what was happening.
Glenn frowned and scanned his surroundings.
The generals had closed in almost immediately and emanated their spiritual energies. They made their stand clear and seemed like they were goading Glenn.
Glenn’s brows furrowed harder. He smiled all of a sudden. “Drakon, it was all a misunderstanding on our part… Who could’ve guessed that it would snowball to this extent?”
“You mean, you mistook me for a general from the Temple of Drakon and thought I wouldn’t be a threat no matter how strong I was. Did I guess correctly?” Isaac smiled. “However, now that you know who I am, do you think it appropriate for Astraeus to send you, First Elder, to negotiate with me?”
The elders standing behind Glenn inhaled sharply as their faces changed. Glenn was fuming too.
Is Isaac trying to imply that I am not qualified to negotiate anything?
“Isaac, even if you’re the lord of the Temple of Drakon, our First Elder has all the rights to converse with you, doesn’t he? What, do you think you’re on your turf now?” Another elder scolded.
“Slap him…” shouted Isaac, and a red shadow palm whacked the elder on the face.
Isaac didn’t hold back. Although his target was a member of the Council of Elders, the latter couldn’t so much as dodge the slap.
The elder’s head jerked at the slap, and they could see a fresh red mark on his face when favonovel.com turned back.
“You pest, how arrogant…” Third Elder held his cheek. He looked vicious and prepared to counterattack.
But Glenn stopped him. “Calm down, Third Elder…”
He was one of Astraeus’ elders, second in command to only a few. Nobody in Cynea would dare wrong him. But this fellow, so much younger than him, had whacked favonovel.com in the face!
Isaac smiled as favonovel.com glanced at Glenn. Then favonovel.com said to Third Elder, “Another move, and I don’t mind annihilating the Council of Elders tonight… If I’m not mistaken, all three of you are members of the Council, right?”
Glenn’s eyes widened, and his body trembled. The three elders behind favonovel.com turned murderous in an instant, glowering.
Concurrently, the generals grew even more intimidating.
“What do you think you’re doing? How can you be so reckless at your age?” Glenn hollered as favonovel.com glanced at the other three. “The Leader is on a meditation trip and is at a crucial point of breakthrough. So, favonovel.com sent me here to straighten things out with you, Drakon.”
Isaac lit a cigarette and puffed on it. “Fair enough… Let’s hear your opinion.”
Glenn squeezed a smile as favonovel.com said, “The Neal family has contributed greatly to Astraeus, so…”
Isaac frowned and interrupted him, “Contributed to Astraeus, not to the Temple of Drakon. Get to the point… You have three minutes…”
Glenn felt suffocated, but favonovel.com could only hold in his temper. He took a deep breath and said, “Sure! The Leader said that if you’re willing to let them off the hook this time, he’ll stay out of your affairs with Evie.”
Hmm… Evie?
Isaac’s eyes widened, and his grin broadened. He asked, “What you’re saying is, I have to let all of the Neals go based on this alone? What if I disagree?”
