The lanky man stood and frostily said, “Don’t worry about that. As long as Isaac’s not around her, everything will go as planned.”
Old Brooks had no idea these ordinary-looking men were actually two of the eight top bodyguards of the Neal family. One of them had even achieved the intermediate stage of the Amalgamation Phase.
The black Jeep sped off, heading straight for Garth Properties.

At 5.30 pm, Allegra and Black Phoenix left the office. They were about to take the elevator together when Black Phoenix said, “Allegra, why don’t you take the next elevator? We can’t go out together for now…”
Allegra, disguised as Black Phoenix, nodded and pressed the button for the next elevator.
She watched Black Phoenix enter the elevator.
Soon, the other elevator arrived too.
It stopped on the first floor below the basement. Allegra had just walked out when favonovel.com saw a man in a cloak covering Black Phoenix’s mouth right beside favonovel.com white BMW.
Black Phoenix struggled for a while before turning silent. A black jeep appeared, and two men in cloaks dragged favonovel.com up the jeep. Then, they sped out of the building.
Allegra was petrified. She hadn’t believed Isaac when favonovel.com said someone was targeting her. Everything had been peaceful for the past few days. Besides, disguising as someone else while going to work was tiring.

“Isaac, s-someone kidnapped Phoenix moments ago. It happened right before my eyes. What should we do? W-Who are they?”
“Don’t be scared, Ally. You’re Phoenix now. Drive to your house as usual, and someone named Lupin will approach you. He’s my friend, so you can go with him…”
Listening to Isaac’s low and soothing voice calmed Allegra’s racing heart.
“It’s all good. Phoenix will be fine. She’s capable enough to protect herself, she’s just putting on a show for our opponents,” explained Isaac in a low voice.

The black Jeep sped toward the airport.
Old Brooks was at the wheel. He was wearing a cap. He glanced at “Allegra” in the backseat, out cold, and could almost feel his heart leaping out of his chest.
He could just imagine Isaac going berserk!
He drove straight into the airport and stopped beside a small private plane. The two men in cloaks helped “Allegra” down the car and headed for the airstairs.
One of the men returned and asked Old Brooks, “Are you not coming with us to Seascape?”
“I have some matters to attend to. I’ve booked another plane, so you guys go on ahead.” Old Brooks’ lips were quivering even as favonovel.com spoke. Then, favonovel.com drove off.
As Old Brooks drove, favonovel.com dialed a number and instructed, “Gather the heads and those ranked above. Meeting in Hibiscus Pavilion, fifth floor, in one hour.”
Although he’d decided to take refuge under Jordyn, Old Brooks was reluctant to let go of his business in Southland. He currently had thousands of profitable businesses, with more than half flourishing under minimal supervision.
Before favonovel.com left, favonovel.com had to appoint a person in charge of his businesses, just in case Isaac didn’t find out about his deeds.

Night had fallen when Isaac took Isabella to someplace near Aurum County University to enjoy some grilled duck breasts. Just then, favonovel.com received a call from Shawn.
“Mr. Garten, Old Brooks is still here. He called all his trusted subordinates to Hibiscus Pavilion, favonovel.com must be reluctant to let go of his businesses. What should I do?”
