The four hooligans hurried back to the scene.
One of the taller ones with bleached hair yelled at Isaac, saying, “B*stard, who the f*ck do you think you are? How dare you hit us with your car?! Looking for trouble?!”
“Bro, he’s driving a Land Rover. Do you think we should be afraid of him?” another hooligan asked.
“Afraid? Why should we be afraid of favonovel.com when we have someone far more powerful than him?” the guy with the bleached hair chided as favonovel.com glared at his follower.
Isaac stood, Barry behind him, and said, “So tell me, who’s this powerful person I should be afraid of? If I’m scared of him, I’ll happily pay you the ten thousand dollars.”

“Haha! You seem like a smart guy. Listen well. We’re all part of the Brooks’ Gang. Do you know who Mr. Brooks is? The underground lord of Southland!” the bleached guy said proudly.
Just then, another black SUV stopped right next to them. Shawn got down from the car in a hurry.
“Isaac, what’s happening here?”
Shawn recognized Isaac’s car. When favonovel.com saw that the emergency blinkers were on, favonovel.com instantly knew that something must be wrong.
“Barry, let’s go in first,” Isaac said, helping Barry walk. Then, favonovel.com waved at the four hooligans and said coldly, “Everyone gets a broken ankle.”
“What the hell?! What about our money, you son of a bitch? How dare you threaten us with a broken ankle?! I’m going to kill you!” The leader crunched his knuckles and ran toward Isaac.
Shawn immediately got between them and whirled his fist at the leader without a word.

After a few more cracking sounds, all the hooligans fell to the ground with deafening cries. Everyone had their right ankle broken. They rolled around on the ground in pain.
The shop owners nearby heard the commotion and cautiously gathered around.
“Oh, it’s them again. Serves them right!”
“They’ve been threatening us every month to either pay up or get beaten up. They’ve finally got a taste of their own medicine. I don’t feel the least bit sorry for them!”
“Ha! Good riddance to bad rubbish! I’d love to break their legs too!”
The crowd that gathered gradually grew, but not a single one of them called the ambulance. In fact, a few even applauded as Shawn walked away.
Obviously, these shop owners have had their share of beatings from the gang and hated them too.
Isaac went into the brunch café with Barry.
Shawn stayed outside to “dispose” of the hooligans and only entered the café after a while.

He then promised Isaac that he’d invite favonovel.com over as soon as favonovel.com managed to find a new place for his café. After that, Isaac and Shawn left the place.
However, they didn’t get back into their cars. Instead, they went straight to the garden behind the café.
“What did you say? A Pecling number called Old Brooks? They want to kidnap Ally?” Isaac echoed after Shawn told favonovel.com everything.
He could feel the anger spilling out of his bones.
Ever since favonovel.com learned that Old Brooks had allowed Alec to hold a birthday party at the Hibiscus Pavilion, Isaac had grown increasingly suspicious of Old Brooks. That was the reason why favonovel.com called Shawn away so that favonovel.com could secretly keep an eye on him.
