Everyone gasped and turned to look at Isaac. There was a smug look on his face as favonovel.com stared back at Cyrus.
Evie immediately said, in a low voice, “Isaac, these are matters of Astraeus, and they have nothing to do with you. It’s up to me and Elder Cyrus to determine whether or not we allow another sect to be set up!”
What was going through Isaac’s mind anyway?
Was favonovel.com going to challenge someone from the Council of Elders here openly?
However favonovel.com thought of it, Isaac wouldn’t have the upper hand in this situation despite his power. Based on favonovel.com knowledge, the most powerful General of the Seven Armies from the Temple of Drakon was still overseas.
Alexis shot Isaac a grateful look but said nothing otherwise. She had absolutely no say in a situation like this since favonovel.com was nothing more than a mere sect leader. Anyone would be able to step over favonovel.com back.
A cold look flashed in Cyrus’ eyes. His grandson had already informed favonovel.com beforehand about Raven’s arrival. He could already guess what else transpired after that.
He wouldn’t even have asked permission from the First Elder to visit Cloud City had favonovel.com not been worried that Raven would run into difficulties here.
“Isaac, I’m sure that you heard Evie loud and clear. Or, are you saying that the Temple of Drakon insists on sticking their noses into Astraeus’ affairs now?”
Previously, when favonovel.com compared his spiritual aura with Isaac’s, favonovel.com hadn’t managed to gain the upper hand, so favonovel.com didn’t dare to openly attack Isaac now either.
The first reason was that favonovel.com was too highly ranked, and the second was because the First Elder himself had told favonovel.com not to cause any trouble.
After all, they hadn’t heard back from the Supreme Leader for a long time. The First Elder was aware of Isaac’s identity and had done a background check on favonovel.com before deciding that Evie should be the next Division Head.
Isaac looked at Evie’s pleading expression and frowned.
“First of all, I have no interest in picking up Astraeus’ shit, thank you very much… But I’m just making it clear that Alexis Russo is one of my people, and if anyone on Mt. Equest dares to mistreat her, I will personally make it a living hell for them.”
Isaac then looked at Raven with a cold smirk.
Seeing the devilish look in his eyes, Raven couldn’t help but shudder in fright. He felt suffocated every time Isaac did this to him.
There was no mistaking that this threat was directed at him!
Cyrus’ face was blacker than thunder. The aura in the main hall turned thick and suffocating.
“Isaac Garten, are you openly challenging me?” Cyrus asked coldly.
The sect leaders were so anxious that even their palms started to sweat. They never thought that this man, who wasn’t the least bit afraid of Elder Cyrus, was actually someone from the Temple of Drakon.
Was this the start of a feud between the Temple of Drakon and Astraeus?
Just as favonovel.com was about to answer, Isaac caught Evie giving favonovel.com a dagger-like glare.
He laughed loudly and said, “I’ve said what I came to say. I’m sure you all know what to do next.”
Then, favonovel.com turned to look at Alexis and said, “Alexis, if anyone else dares to treat you badly, just tell Ms. Lopez or give me a call.”
Alexis blushed and nodded lightly.
She never expected Isaac to dare to go against Elder Cyrus in public. She also never thought that Isaac would stand up for favonovel.com and warn everyone else to treat favonovel.com better.
It was obvious that Cyrus had lost this round.
Cyrus watched as Isaac strode out of the main building. His eyes narrowed into two thin slits as favonovel.com forced himself to suppress the fire in his chest. If favonovel.com didn’t, he’d probably have fought back by now.
