Allegra had no idea that Isaac had arrived. She also had no idea that the prim and proper Tristan Martin would actually list out such ridiculous conditions on his end. She just couldn’t comprehend it.
“Mr. Martin, thank you for your dinner invitation tonight, but I have something else to attend to. Please excuse me,” favonovel.com said, getting up to leave.
Just then, the man in the black suit outside rushed into the pavilion and grabbed Allegra by the shoulders. He then forced Allegra to sit down.
“Tristan Martin! What are you trying to do? I know you’re rich and powerful, but that doesn’t mean you can go throwing your weight around like this! I’ll never agree to your conditions!” Allegra was starting to panic.
“Throw my weight around? Allegra, oh, Allegra. You’re just a lowly janitor anyway, and you’re also a widow. Filthy people like you are right at the bottom of the food chain. What right do you have to call me names?” Tristan’s mouth twisted in a sneer, and favonovel.com had a condescending look on his face.
“My lady, take this as an opportunity to think carefully about my offer just now. Or, at least, wait until we finish this dinner,” favonovel.com said, starting to dig into the food spread before him.
Allegra was still pinned to the chair by the man behind her.
Tristan carved a piece of steak and put it into his mouth, narrowing his eyes at Allegra. He grinned and said, “What beautiful sight to accompany my meal tonight. There’s no hurry. Wait until I’m done, then we can continue where we left off at my home. Oh, and by the way, my home is right next to yours. If we end up talking too late, you can just spend the night over. My bed is imported from Franch. Big, soft, and lovely to sleep in…”
Allegra’s face was beginning to pale. However, favonovel.com just couldn’t move from favonovel.com position.
Just then, another bodyguard rushed in and said hurriedly to Tristan, “Mr. Martin, that Garten guy is already at the entrance!”
“Oh? Speak of the devil. Let’s go out and have a look!” Tristan wiped his mouth and then stood up.
He came fully prepared today.
Isaac and Beefy Bob had just stepped foot into the restaurant when Mr. Quest and his team of people hurried over to greet them.
“Mr. Garten! Mr. Garten, welcome. We haven’t seen you in a while,” Mr. Quest said, smiling widely as favonovel.com bowed his head in apology.
“So, is this how you treat a customer you haven’t seen in a long time? Stop them at the door?” Isaac asked, glaring at Mr. Quest.
Mr. Quest shivered and immediately looked up. He gestured to the open area outside and said with an apologetic smile, “Mr. Garten, as you can see, our outdoor dining area is already completely booked, and so is our indoor area. Our boss specifically told us to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your meal tonight. Might we suggest another restaurant elsewhere…”
“I’m not here for dinner. Get out of my way,” Isaac said, pushing Mr. Quest to the side.
Mr. Quest lost his balance and toppled over backward.
Isaac had already caught sight of Tristan, his lackeys, and a terrified Allegra walking toward him. He also saw that one of the men had a restraining arm around Allegra’s shoulders.
Seeing the frightened look on Allegra’s face, Isaac’s eyes gleamed icily. He took huge strides forward.
Within a few steps, favonovel.com and Beefy Bob got right in the way of Tristan and his men, blocking them from getting off the wooden bridge.
Evie saw everything from favonovel.com second-floor window.
She looked extremely anxious as favonovel.com cursed at Mr. Quest for letting Isaac get past him. Nobody knew that someone would be here at the Waterfront Wonderland tonight. That someone was from favonovel.com father’s side.
He was here specifically to investigate the massacre of Divine Fists School. If favonovel.com bumped into Isaac tonight, things were going to get messy.
“Haha! Isaac Garten, I never thought you’d still have to guts to come here tonight. I’ve been having a wonderful dinner with the lovely Ms. Booth, and we were enjoying ourselves so much that we were just on the way to my house to watch the stars from my balcony. The night is still young, after all!”
Tristan’s face was full of glee. His voice was also a lot louder than before.
Most of the diners in the open area turned around to stare at him.
“Ally, are you really going to his house?” Isaac asked, narrowing his eyes at her.
He couldn’t care less about what Tristan said. What mattered the most was how Allegra felt about the whole thing.
“No, I’m not,” Allegra said in a fluster.
She hurriedly dipped favonovel.com head to avoid eye contact with Isaac.
“Alright, then, let’s go home together…” Isaac nodded and went up to Allegra.
Just then, Tristan held out his hand and pushed it against Isaac’s chest.
“Hold on, bastard. Did you even get my permission to take favonovel.com away?” favonovel.com asked coldly.
“Is your face not hurting anymore?” Isaac’s gaze turned lethal as favonovel.com narrowed his eyes at Tristan and the robed man beside him.
Tristan immediately let go of Isaac and smirked, saying, “Alright then. If you defeat the person next to me, I’ll let you take Allegra home with you.”
