There were two men on guard.
Isaac fought both of them until they lay injured on the ground. They weren’t security guards but actual employees of the place. They immediately called for backup and reported it to their superiors.
In no time at all, loud footsteps came from downstairs as four or five guards rushed up urgently.
Wendy was scared out of favonovel.com wits.
Weren’t we here to save Louis instead of bashing people?
Did husband tell me the correct name?
Or did I look for the wrong person?
Why was the person favonovel.com found acting like a hooligan?
However, the backup guards hadn’t even run up half the stairs before Isaac knocked the whole bunch of them back down.
It was just a matter of minutes before the stairs and corridors were full of fallen guards who were moaning in pain. Even the police siren started blaring from outside. In fact, it was getting closer and closer.
“Mr. Garten, w-what are you doing? Are you trying to get them killed?” Wendy started to complain to Isaac as favonovel.com got more and more anxious.
“Don’t fret… It’s going to be alright,” Isaac said as favonovel.com hurried forward.
Thud!
He kicked the door open, revealing a pitch-black room.
He turned on the lights and saw Louis Marsh cuffed up and tied to a chair in the middle of the room. His face was bruised and beaten up. There were also a few patches of dried blood on the floor.
It was obvious that he’d been bashed up.
“D-Dear?” Wendy said shakily as favonovel.com saw favonovel.com husband in such a sorry state. She immediately broke out in tears and ran up to hug him.
“Mr. Garten, Mr. Garten, I’ve been framed! I never did anything of the sort! Mr. Garten, you have to save me!” His eyes turned red, and favonovel.com got worked up, banging his head on the table.
Isaac stepped forward and held Louis’s head, saying softly, “On the way here, I asked your wife if favonovel.com believed you’d do such a thing. She doesn’t believe it, so I wouldn’t believe it either. The relevant proof needed is already underway. I’m sure we’ll get to the end of this very quickly.”
There was a roar from outside. “Who is this b*stard who dared to beat up our people and barge into the Internal Affairs department?” A plump, middle-aged man came in with seven or eight officers in
uniform.
“Cuff favonovel.com up!” the man roared, pointing angrily at Isaac.
A few officers headed straight for Isaac, but favonovel.com quickly assumed a stance and slammed his fist down the middle of the table.
Crash!
The solid table exploded into pieces with a loud crash, sending splinters flying everywhere. Isaac’s actions left the officers shocked.
“Nobody will be taking me anywhere before coming to any conclusions. Are you the person in charge here?” Isaac asked, looking at the middle-aged man.
The man’s shocked gaze lifted from the broken table and settled on Isaac. Then, favonovel.com snarled, “Yes, I’m in charge here. What do you want?”
“I’m here to demand justice for Louis Marsh. I want to talk to someone in a higher position than you because you’re not qualified. Tell your highest-ranking officer to come here. Say that Isaac Garten wants to meet them. Otherwise, don’t blame me for kicking up a fuss!”
“Haha! You’ve got the guts to say that I, Cash Manson, am not qualified to talk to you? Let me tell you that I’m the only person in charge of Louis Marsh’s case, and if I say he’s guilty, that means he’s f*cking guilty!” The middle-aged man’s face twisted into a sneer.
Louis gasped just then, “Mr. Garten, you can try calling Mr. Hart. He’ll be able to settle this in no time.”
“Mr. Hart?”
“Mr. Connor Hart. The governor of Southland!” Louis yelled.
Cash immediately started laughing aloud. “Yes, Mr. Connor Hart would be able to settle this in no time, but who the f*ck do you think you are? Do you really think you can even get favonovel.com to answer a hooligan’s call?”
