Margaret and Andrew sat emotionlessly by the side. Only Allegra’s eyes were completely red.
She had informed them about Eugene’s condition. However, they seemed only shocked for a brief moment before going into complete silence as if they were thinking about something.

Allegra looked pale and exhausted. He felt sorry for her.

“Dad, I’m out with Daisy right now. What do you want?” Andrew sounded very impatient.
His background appeared to be quite noisy as well. Since Eugene had used the loudspeaker function, both Isaac and Allegra could hear everything clearly.
“I see that I’m not as important as your wife. Alright then, I’ll just let your sister inherit everything. Goodbye…” Eugene hung up.
Less than ten seconds later, Andrew called back. He asked curiously, “Dad, what did you say? What inheritance are you talking about?”
“I own a piece of land, but your mother knows nothing about it. I wanted to leave it to you and your sister. But since you said your wife is more important, let’s just forget about it.” Eugene then hung up once more.
Isaac and Allegra were both shocked. They didn’t know that Eugene owned a piece of land.
