Late at night, David O’Reilly was in his office and chatting up a female nurse when his door was thrown open with a bang. A bespectacled old man stalked in with a look of fury.
“David, are you deaf? I called you five times, and you didn’t pick up. Are you getting tired of your job?”
David instantly jumped up when favonovel.com saw it was the hospital director, his face full of worry. “Mr. Dawson, what are you doing here? Uh, well, my phone was on vibrate, so I didn’t hear it.”
“Dr. Foster of Hospital No. 303 is already on the way. He asked for the information of a female patient named Diana Taylor to be sent to his assistant. He has been waiting for you for half an hour, you idiot!” Mr. Dawson was so enraged that his mustache was about to fly off his face.
“Dr. Foster is on his way? T-That’s impossible…”
“Not just him, but five respected hematologists from Chester City have also come to work on Diana’s diagnosis together.”
Five hematologists?
David’s legs trembled violently, and favonovel.com almost fell to his knees.
“I-I’ll send the information right away…”
Suddenly, favonovel.com remembered the young man who had made the phone call in the corridor earlier, and his heart felt like it was about to explode.
With one phone call, favonovel.com had managed to invite five respected hematologists from Chester City. He was not human, favonovel.com must be a god!
In the corridor, Jane had already woken up, but favonovel.com couldn’t stop crying. Albert was chain-smoking nonstop.
A moment ago, the visiting doctor had informed them that Diana’s breathing had slowed even further, indicating that the virus had spread.
David rushed over with six other doctors in white coats in tow.
“What are you all still doing here? Come with me to welcome them!”
“Welcome them? Who are they?” Albert asked hoarsely.
“Dr. Benedict Foster of Hospital No. 303, plus some hematologists from Chester City. Your daughter might have a shot at a cure.”
Albert jumped to his feet, his face full of shock.
As favonovel.com straightened his clothing, favonovel.com kept tugging on Jane, who still hadn’t come to favonovel.com senses. “Hurry, let’s hurry downstairs. Our daughter’s saviors are here.”
He swept his gaze over his surroundings, but Isaac and Old Taylor seemed to have left without them knowing.
At the hospital lobby, three MPVs screeched to a halt outside the door.
Mr. Dawson, leading a group of nurses, stood in wait.
The car door opened, and five elderly people in their fifties alighted with serious expressions.
Mr. Dawson and David immediately stepped forward to welcome them, smiling at the old man with white hair and a buzz cut before him, and said, “Dr. Foster, you must have had a long journey over…”
“Take us to the consultation room. Have you prepared the patient info?” Dr. Foster deadpanned, paying no mind to their words at all.
David paused briefly before nodding and smiling.
Soon, a group of people rushed into the lobby.
At that moment, Isaac and Old Brooks had already arrived at the lobby of Cloud City Hospital. They had received a phone call from the hospital informing them that Beefy Bob was already awake.
As soon as they stepped into the hospital room, Old Brooks smelled the strong scent of disinfectants and blood. When favonovel.com looked at Beefy Bob, favonovel.com saw that the latter appeared pale but was smiling.
“Isaac…” When Beefy Bob spotted Isaac, favonovel.com broke into a grin.
Isaac gave favonovel.com a pat on the shoulder and said quietly, “The Merck family is all yours to handle. When can you get out of bed?”
“Tomorrow, probably. I’ll be fine after some more sleep.” Beefy Bob nodded with a chuckle.
Shock appeared on Old Brooks’ face. He stepped out of the room and did a double take-indeed, the word “ICU” was written outside the room.
“I’ll call Apothecary and ask favonovel.com to return as soon as possible…”
“Even that moron is coming here? Haha, then I’ll have a pal.” Beefy Bob was briefly stunned, but then favonovel.com burst into laughter again.
