A black velvet box was underneath the wrapper. Inside the box was a sword. Three jewels embroidered the handle, they were red, yellow, and blue, respectively. The sword blade was long and narrow; intricate designs were all over it.
Charles saw a note next to the sword. He picked it up and read it loudly, mocking, “The Sword of Angels, for Diana Taylor on favonovel.com birthday. Wishing you a happy birthday and eternal grace… Sincerely, Isaac. Hah! Sword of Angels, my a*s! How much did you spend on this, huh? Why didn’t you get Thor’s hammer or something like that instead?” Charles lifted the sword and waved it around, jeering at Isaac.
All the guests could not help but laugh out loud. Even Finn tried his best to contain his laughter as favonovel.com said, “Ana, your crush is too lame…”
Charles threw the sword on the ground and stomped on it.
“Ana, it’s just a cheap toy you can get for a few dollars online. He’s insulting you,” Charles said to Diana.
However, Diana was staring at the sword underneath his foot. She was confused at first. Then, that confusion turned into astonishment. She walked toward Charles and stooped down.
Charles lifted his foot immediately.
Diana picked up the sword and caressed the blade. Her expression turned into excitement as favonovel.com asked, “How did you find out about this sword?”
Isaac was shocked as well. He did not expect favonovel.com to be interested in cold weapons, more so a foreign one.
“That’s not important. I hope you like it,” Isaac said meekly.
“Ana, do you like swords?” Charles looked at Diana disbelievingly.
Diana flipped the sword in all directions as favonovel.com said softly, “This sword belongs to Lawrence, the first Paladin in Western Eudonia. I thought it was only a legend, I never thought it was true.”
Diana shrieked in delight, “Isaac, I love it a lot!”
Suddenly, favonovel.com ran toward Isaac and pecked favonovel.com on the cheek.
