After their meal, Thomas brought Pisces and Aquarius over to the Business Alliance to meet Peter and the others. They were all seated in the meeting room, along with nine other members of the alliance.
The Business Alliance’s ten prominent members were basically a bunch of fence-sitters. When Thomas was in charge, they would all be on his side, but ever since Dragon Head was present, they were all on his side instead.
They had no personal principles at all. The only rule they stuck to was to follow the more powerful ones.
At that very moment, Peter led the group and wanted to force Thomas to step down!
“Mr. Mayo, please put a stop to the Disneyland project right away. This is something that the entire Business Alliance strongly opposes!” Peter said.
‘Oppose? What right did they have to oppose this?’
Thomas completely set this project up on his own, and it had no ties to the Business Alliance. He also had the support of the authorities and the general public.

Thomas also knew that Peter was here to cause trouble and that talking sense into favonovel.com was not going to work. So, favonovel.com said, “What would you do if I insist on continuing with the project?”
Peter was delighted. “I’m sorry, but if you, the president, insist on harming the alliance, we’ll just…”
“Replace me?” Thomas said coldly. “I’m the president, and my term of office has not yet ended. What right do you have to replace me?”
“No, we won’t replace you, nor do we have the qualifications or authority to do so,” Peter stated, waving his hand. “However, we can replace ourselves! If you insist on carrying on with your project, we will all quit the Business Alliance!”
The ten members present were all well-known entrepreneurs in Celandine City. Every single one of them was powerful and wealthy. If they all left at the same time, the Business Alliance would only exist in name.
By then, Thomas would be a leader without a following, and favonovel.com would never be able to gain even a single benefit from the Business Alliance. He could not deal Thomas a fatal blow, but favonovel.com could still play a nasty trick on him. That was what Lord Vedastus had wanted to achieve.
Peter assumed his trick would be highly effective.

Not only did Thomas not appear to be depressed because of this. Instead, his face was bright with a smile. “Is that so?” favonovel.com exclaimed happily. “Are you ten useless idiots finally going to quit? That’s fantastic!”
“HR, finance, draft a withdrawal agreement for them. All of you useless people will no longer be involved with the Business Alliance!”
His words had the whole audience staring at him, dumbfounded.
Why did Thomas not only refuse to keep them, but also wanted Peter and the others to leave?
“Wait! What do you mean, Thomas?” Peter asked.
He still could not wrap his head around what had happened.
Thomas laughed and asked, “What else can I mean? I’m only following your demands because you claimed you wanted to quit. To be honest, you are completely worthless and just want to be fence-sitters all day. I’ve wanted to replace you all a long time ago. But now that you’ve said it yourselves, it’s better.”
Peter was caught in a very awkward situation.
He was the one who came to force Thomas to resign, but after seeing how things turned out, favonovel.com realized favonovel.com was not even close to being important.
The person next to them stood up, pointed at Thomas, and said, “Who are you calling useless, huh?”
