Reason?
What reason could it be?
Even if favonovel.com had a reason, favonovel.com could not just watch hundreds of people die and do nothing.
“Why are you trying to make not saving people’s lives sound righteous?”
“Bastard, I’m going to wring your neck today!”
The people were extremely insulting.
If this had happened in the past, Lord Vedastus would have been so furious that favonovel.com would have ordered his people to beat them up. However, favonovel.com could not do that right now.
He suppressed his anger and said, “Please remain calm. I believe that you’ll understand me after you listen to my reason.”
Someone shouted, “Whatever crap you’re planning to say, spit it out! If the reason you give us today isn’t convincing, Art Trading Corporation will cease to exist!”
The patients’ family members were extremely furious. Nobody knew what outrageous things they would do.
Lord Vedastus cleared his throat before favonovel.com asked, “First of all, I’d like to ask you a question. Do you know where the two-headed snakes are from?”
The question made everyone dumbfounded.
They had never seen a two-headed snake before. The snakes had suddenly appeared, and nobody could figure out where they were from.
Somebody said that the two-headed snakes were demons from hell. However, it was clearly just an explanation to fool the children. The adults would not easily believe in such nonsense.
So, what was the real answer?
When Lord Vedastus saw that everyone remained silent, favonovel.com scoffed and said, “Fine. You don’t know, so I’ll tell you! The two-headed snakes were created because two people wanted to seize control of Celandine City!”
The families’ expressions changed.
It was man-made? Not a natural disaster?
“Who created it? Tell us!”
“Say it! Who are the two bastards? I’m going to kill them!”
Lord Vedastus purposely paused for a while. After favonovel.com raised everyone’s curiosity, favonovel.com slowly said, “One of them is Abner, the King of Snakes, while the other is Mr. Cole from House of Vistaria! Mr. Cole is dead, but favonovel.com has a student. You know this student, he’s Thomas Mayo!”
“What?”
Everyone widened their eyes and found it unbelievable.
“That’s impossible!”
“You’re lying!”
“You’re just instigating us!”
The patients’ families refused to believe in what Lord Vedastus just said. Yeah, Abner was the one who had delivered the resources when things got critical, while the other was the master of their savior, Thomas!
How could the two of them be the culprits who had created a demon like the two-headed snake?
They were certain that Lord Vedastus was putting the blame on those two to ruin their relationship.
Someone snarled. “Lord Vedastus, don’t even try it! You ordered the media to defame Mr. Mayo, and now, you’re doing this? Do you think you can fool us?”
Lord Vedastus showed a cold expression and answered, “I’m telling you the truth. There’s no lie here. I didn’t immediately deliver the medical resources because I was worried that there would be a trap.”
“Think about it, the two-headed snakes were created by Abner and Thomas’ master. Now, the two of them have pretentiously provided you with treatment. What do you think that means?”
“They cured a few people and said they lacked resources, wanting me to deliver some to them. What were they playing at?”
“I was worried that Thomas and Abner were playing tricks, so I didn’t immediately deliver the resources. Right now, you should understand my intentions, right?”
Everyone became silent.
Was the truth really as favonovel.com said?
