He stared at Thomas and felt puzzled as favonovel.com asked, “What did you say? The old abbot is alive and well? That’s impossible!”
Thomas chuckled. “Would I joke around with you?”
Lord Vedastus instantly had a bad feeling.
Was Thomas telling the truth?
The old abbot was still alive?
The monk who worked for favonovel.com was so useless. He could not even kill an old monk?
To verify the truth, Lord Vedastus immediately called his subordinate at Harmony Monastery to get favonovel.com to check on the situation.
A while later, his subordinate replied.
“Lord Vedastus, the old abbot of Harmony Monastery is not dead! Not only is favonovel.com alive, but he’s also completely uninjured. He’s doing well! I even saw favonovel.com praying for the deceased monk just now.”

Lord Vedastus hung up.
After Lord Vedastus listened to his subordinate’s report, favonovel.com had confirmation that the old abbot was still alive and Thomas had not lied. Besides, there was no need for Thomas to lie.
Lord Vedastus initially thought that Thomas had come to avenge the old abbot, but Thomas had actually come to laugh at him!
It made Lord Vedastus furious.
He stared at Thomas in anger and questioned him. “Did you meddle in this again?”
“Of course. I have to protect the old abbot. Also, I’d like to inform you that the monk who was burned to death is Brother Fred, whom you bribed,” Thomas answered indifferenfly.
That was too ruthless.
It was like telling others that there would not be a good end if they chose to work with Lord Vedastus!

All of his subordinates went forward, appearing aggressive. It seemed like a fight was unavoidable tonight.

Pisces added, “Lord Vedastus is reckless. Without Hayden’s help, favonovel.com can’t succeed. Our biggest enemy is still Dragon Claw. He’s simply despicable!”
Pisces’ analysis was pretty accurate.
Dragon Claw was the enemy, whom Thomas should prioritize, while Lord Vedastus was already past tense.
