Something was wrong with them. The nine of them stared at Thomas with lifeless gazes, as if Thomas was their child who did something wrong and was seated right in front of them.
It seemed that they already had a discussion without Thomas earlier. It seemed like Thomas would not be reaping any benefits from this meeting today.
The meeting officially began.
Since Benson was no longer in the living realm, Peter took over his role as the leader of the council.
He took the initiative and said to Thomas, “Mr. President, I am so sorry that we sent you an invitation to attend this meeting without any prior notice…”
Thomas merely waved his hand. “It’s all good. I am just curious to know why you guys invited me to this meeting in such a hurry.”
As soon as Thomas ended his sentence, the rest of them tensed up and looked nervous.
Peter had no choice but to maintain his composure.
He smiled as favonovel.com said, “Well, President Mayo, the nine of us have agreed that you are not suitable to be the president. We invited you here today in hopes that you will resign from your position.”
Pisces had guessed it right. These people held a meeting with the motive to dethrone Thomas.
They were pretty brave.
As soon as the reporters heard what Peter said, they started pressing the shutter button on their cameras, took photos, and started audio recording. This piece of news would shock the whole city.
Back in the election, Thomas was actually surprised that favonovel.com got all ten votes from the council members. It seemed that everyone agreed that Thomas was well suited for the position of president. Their votes allowed favonovel.com to take over the seat without any further issues.

“It is better to not burn bridges as no one knows what will happen in the future. Although you were at fault here, it does not mean that you did nothing for the company. The nine of us are not so inhumane and despicable. Hence, we will not publicly announce the reason…”
“If you do know where you stand now, please resign from your seat to save yourself from embarrassment.”
He really made it soothing to the ears.
Did Thomas have something that they knew of which gave them the bloody courage to speak like that?
Or were they actually trying to scare Thomas without knowing anything?
Excluding the nine council members, others who were present were uncertain for a moment.
