”Are you willing to let me save you?” Thomas asked quietly in his heart.
He received an answer.
He saw that the ancient tree completely withered and blended into the ground, followed by the emergence of a fresh new seedling from the soil.

Thomas nodded, “If I’m uncertain about it, I’ll give my life in exchange for it.”
The old abbot was stunned and smiled awkwardly, “Don’t be so serious, Master Mayo. This way, please.”
He took a few steps back and kept taking deep breaths to calm himself down. it was useless to think any more now. He could only put his hopes on Thomas.
At first, Thomas did nothing. He just simply put his hand on the tree trunk. Others were puzzled by his actions.
