“After inspections by the notary public and technical staff, they found no issues with the equipment,” favonovel.com continued after a little pause. “Please don’t make excuses for your own blunders and continue with the game.”
The game resumed after that statement was made.
Supreme Club’s team members were all outstanding players, and they had an irreversible lead thanks to the large advantage they had built up prior to this, as well as the assistance provided by their equipment.
The result of the game was set. The first round ended in a whirlwind of debate.
Levant stomped his feet in rage.
How could they possibly continue the game with such crappy equipment that lagged every few seconds?
It was as horrible as sitting through a PowerPoint presentation. The worst part was that the judge, notary public, and technicians were all covering for them and siding with them. But that was not all. There was something even worse.
Someone from the audience took the lead and yelled, “If you can’t beat them, then you can’t. Why are you looking for excuses? Does Supreme Club really need to tamper with the stuff in order to defeat you when you suck so much? I’ve seen my fair share of shameless people, but I’ve never seen anyone as shameless as you!”
Many spectators joined in and shouted at them as well.
In a split second, the Avengers Club was forced into a corner. It seemed as if everyone in the room was from Art Trading Corporation and could not wait to step on them. That feeling was awful.
In the audience seats, Hayden was stroking his heard in satisfaction. He could already predict the outcome of today’s game. No matter how hard the other team tried, they would never be able to turn the game around. There was no way a miracle could happen, because all of the equipment had been tampered with, and all the staff and even some of the audience had been bought over.
In the battle zone, Levant was just about to continue cursing, but Mateo, who was next to him, said, “Something like this will definitely happen when we’re playing against Supreme Club, but we have all prepared for it, haven’t we? Why are you still arguing with them? Just work hard and remain true to yourself.”
Mateo may be a few years younger, but his mental capacity was much stronger than Levant’s.
Levant huffed and said, “Tsk, do you think that’ll hold me up? Isn’t it just a little lag? I can still beat the crap out of you!”
They continued to the second round of the competition.
Technically, this round was an attempt to turn the game around for the previous match. The Avengers Club’s equipment was so bad that it frequently lagged, but unlike the last game, Levant seemed to be able to gradually adapt to the lagging and was able to plot ahead of time. He also used the lagging to lure the opponents.
Levant began to show off his incredible gameplay skills in the third round.
In a situation where the equipment was so lousy and the lags were so frequent that it might as well be a PowerPoint presentation, Levant forced a triple kill, stole favorable resources, and led the team to complete a wombo-combo!
This person’s skills were alarmingly impressive.
Hayden, who was sitting in the audience at the time, could not take it any longer.
How could such a skilled player exist?
As a result, favonovel.com cast a glance at River secretly and gave favonovel.com a sign. Of course, River knew what to do. They would go to any length to win, whether by fair or foul means!
River then proceeded to carry out an even more disgusting trick, which caused Levant’s computer screen to crash from time to time!
It was still fine when it lagged, but the screen crashing was just ridiculous.
How could favonovel.com possibly play when favonovel.com could not even see where the characters were?
Also, the opponents were obviously targeting Levant and were rushing to beat favonovel.com up. Levant was killed three times in a short period of time, and his hope of rejoining the game was gone.
Finally, when it seemed that they would win the third round, they lost. They had lost three rounds in a row.
They were in a match where they had to win four games out of seven, and the Avengers Club was driven to the edge of a cliff. They basically had no hopes of winning.
Could they win four rounds in a row?
With such equipment and judges, winning four rounds in a row was definitely impossible.
Levant was starting to lose hope.
At that point, the audience had finally had enough of it. They were not idiots, and they could clearly see that something was wrong with the equipment. And after they lost for three rounds in a row, feelings ran high in the crowd. The real audience became irritated and began to rise one by one.
“This is not fair!”
“It’s rigged!”
“This game doesn’t count!”
However, the voice of the audience was always overpowered. The host scoffed, raised his mic, and said, “The judge, technical staff, and notary public haven’t even said anything. What makes you think you have the right to? Also, let me assure you that no matter how loud you yell, the competition will continue as usual!”
“There are only two possible endings for Avengers Club. One, they lose. Two, they admit defeat and drop out of the competition. Do you hear me?!”
