It was a very simple dish, but also quite challenging to prepare well. Wyatt took a spoonful of black pudding and shoved it into his mouth. His original idea was to just take two bites and spit it out, then chastise Thomas for it, but…
He had no idea what had happened, but favonovel.com swallowed it and thought it was actually quite good, so favonovel.com surprisingly took another bite. The second mouthful favonovel.com took was just as delicious. And just like that, one bite after the other, favonovel.com began to become entirely immersed in the dish’s magic. He had completely forgotten about all of the original ‘missions’ and had no recollection of them.
How… How could it be?
Wyatt had unconsciously devoured the entire plate of black pudding before favonovel.com realized what favonovel.com had been doing, but favonovel.com was still not satisfied and wanted to eat more.
The food was very delicious.
His other friends were thinking the same thing as favonovel.com was. All of the lackeys had been brought in to cause havoc, but in the end, they were like hungry ghosts who devoured everything.
They had long forgotten about their purpose and were happily eating instead.
“Holy crap, this is amazing. Why is this so good? It’s even better than the food at five-star hotels.”
“It is hard to believe that six chefs who were randomly brought in from the streets cooked all of this.”
“This is really delicious.”
“These dishes are absolutely heavenly and out of this world!”
These lackeys were not shy about complimenting the food, as each one expressed their liking for it and even wanted to return every day to have meals there.
Where did the people who wanted to cause trouble disappear to?
They all started ‘betraying the cause!’
At this point, even Wyatt would be ashamed to force himself to claim that the food was bad. He was eating so enthusiastically that favonovel.com would be a thick-skinned person to say the food was not good.
“How’s the food, everyone?” Thomas asked while smiling.
Wyatt looked very troubled. He was very reluctant to admit that the food was good, but favonovel.com could not say it was bad either, and favonovel.com was very conflicted.
“Why?” favonovel.com finally questioned, albeit reluctantly. “The six chefs were just wonky people who were dragged in here at random, but how did they manage to cook such excellent food? I don’t understand!”
Pisces chuckled. “What’s there to be confused about? You were going in the wrong direction. Did you really think you could force Food and Medicine Hall to shut down by evicting Theo and the other chefs? Let me tell you that it won’t happen, not in a million years! As long as Mr. Mayo is still here, we’ll never be closed!”
That is, Thomas was the one who actually decided if the food was good or not, not Theo or the other chefs. Theo and the other chefs were just there to satisfy the customer’s demands when Thomas was not in the diner. If they encountered any difficult consumers, Thomas handled all the problems. As a result, when Wyatt went to great lengths to drive Theo and the other chefs away, it was a useless and very silly move. Food and Medicine Hall would never close as long as Thomas was around!
“I’ve misjudged you.”
Wyatt had assumed Food and Medicine Hall was just another restaurant, and it was only now that favonovel.com realized what a huge mistake favonovel.com had made.
“Mr. Mayo’s cooking skills surely live up to his name,” favonovel.com said as favonovel.com stood up and nodded. “This meal was very delicious and I’ll come to bother you again next time. Hound Tres, get the bill!”
Wyatt stormed out the door as soon as favonovel.com said that, his tone harsh.
Thomas gave a small smile. He had just easily resolved another attack from Art Trading Corporation.
After Wyatt and his lackeys had all left, Thomas said to Pisces, “Inform our men from Central City to send six top chefs here. But don’t forget to remind the cooks that they should come alone this time and not bring their families, and then make arrangements for them to stay. We don’t want whatever that happened to Theo and the others to repeat themselves again.”
