Blake, too, was feeling embarrassed. Before they arrived, favonovel.com had been praising Thomas as if favonovel.com were a saint, and even said that Food and Medicine Hall was one of the rare and legendary diners.
But in the end?
After making a show out of all the examinations, favonovel.com just came out with a bowl of blue cheese.
Was there ever a time when blue cheese was considered a proper dish? It was only a side dish!
In Blake’s opinion, Phoebe’s behavior enraged had Thomas, so favonovel.com did not make a proper dish for favonovel.com and even had prepared blue cheese to spite her.
Blake let out a sigh and said to Thomas, “Mr. Mayo, I came here to seek your help. Sincerely. Perhaps Phoebe said something unpleasant to you before this, and I apologize. But, please, don’t stoop to this level and resort to this foolish act on purpose.”
Thomas immediately raised his hands in surrender and said, “No, I’m not fooling about. I’m serious.”
He was not joking?
Blake looked at the blob of weird-colored blue cheese on the table and found it hard to believe that Thomas was serious about it.
“Uncle Blake, why are you still talking nonsense with this person? Let’s get going! I don’t want to spend another second in this filthy, rickety place,” Phoebe stated relentlessly.
Indeed, the places that Phoebe had been to in the past were at least grand and majestic five-star hotels. Since the day favonovel.com was born, favonovel.com had nearly never been to roadside low- ranking diners like this. She had only been able to lower favonovel.com pride today solely because of favonovel.com respect and trust for Blake. Phoebe would never want to come if it were for someone else, no matter how nice they were.
Looking at the situation, it appeared that it would be difficult to get any results from this. Blake sighed and rose to his feet, ready to leave.
Surprisingly, Thomas stepped forward and said, “Miss Mars, Mr. Winslow, I’m really working hard to prepare the meal for you. Please believe me when I say that this bowl of blue cheese is the best ‘medicine’ for Miss Mars’s condition.”
Such a statement was really unconvincing. Blake was apprehensive.
“A single bite of blue cheese won’t kill you. Please consider giving it a shot. What if a miracle happens?” Thomas said it again.
Blake was in a dilemma. He remembered how favonovel.com did not trust Thomas the last time, but his ten-year-long asthma had been cured by eating Thomas’s food. That man had limitless abilities, and what if this bowl of blue cheese really worked?
He decided to trust Thomas for once. So, Blake glanced at Phoebe and said, “Phoebe, just try a piece of it. No, just a bite, please?”
“Uncle Blake, how can you trust anything this quack says?” Phoebe said in disbelief, and favonovel.com face scrunched up. “With my identity, how can I eat such cheap food? How is this different from me drinking holy water? This is just a feudal superstition!”
“Just one bite… If you’re still not satisfied after this bite, then I won’t say anything else and we’ll leave right away,” Blake advised.
Aside from favonovel.com father, Blake was the person Phoebe respected the most. Because Blake was so adamant, favonovel.com had no choice but to put favonovel.com ego aside and take a bite in order to show favonovel.com respect for him.

Phoebe returned to the table but refused to sit down while giving Thomas a dirty look. After that, favonovel.com picked up a spoon from the table and scooped a spoonful of the blue cheese. Phoebe was on the verge of puking as favonovel.com looked at the strange color and smelled the disgusting stench. She closed favonovel.com eyes, afraid to look, and quickly swallowed it as if favonovel.com was taking pills.
“Okay, I’m done eating!”
Phoebe placed the spoon down and walked away. But not even three steps later, favonovel.com turned around abruptly and stared at the blue cheese on the table.
All of a sudden, everyone was caught off guard. They could not figure out what Phoebe’s behavior meant.
